Nice one, i were bored at worked and did a paintover, hope you dont mind, and take it just as an suggestion.

I would however considering moving the light source. It takes away to much attention from the spaceship which i guess is supposed to be your focal point in this picture.

Kinda like it. What bothers me the most while looking would be the unicorns leg and it being to busy.

The left side of the picture is pretty "open" compared to the right side where everything just seems cramped together. (Tower, hair, etc just gets cut out of the picture). I Would probably widen and heighten the picture, or make everything fit inside the frame somehow.

About the legs...Im no super expert, but i did make a quick redline with my mouse and hope you dont mind. You probably still want to look up a reference picture.



Anyhow, nice painting take care!

I like the idea, and you are off to a good start.

As TerranRich said, try to define the gate more with some darker outline to make it pop out more.

If it is supossed to be an "icy" gate u could also try do add some icicles wich will also help to seperate the gate from the clouds.

You could also add something behind the gate in the distance, a reason to why anyone would want to pass trough the gate.

Dont know what you are gona do with the picture after it's done. But i would have reduced the width of the picture to get rid of allot of the empty space to the sides, mabe move the gate a bit more downards on the canvas and make more focus on the gate itself.

Anyway, good work, keep it up!

Little did he know that he had discovered a entire new planet, where all the seasons are in action at all time!
(The inhabitans of the planet did eraze your friends memory and altered the picture, therefore he cant remembre it.)
