Is the nomination time over yet?

The headline on top of the forums says:
Quote
AGS Awards nominations close at 11:59 GMT on 13 Feb 2013.

But the nomination page shows me this:

Nominations are now closed for 2012. Please stand by for the announcement of the nominees, and then get voting!

I have to say I'm glad I'm not competing this year :) lots of amazing titles!
Too true! I'm competing and even I would vote for so many other games then mine. ;)

By the way what's about a banner on the top of the forums with the links to the threads - like the last years?

I'm too late but it seems you had a nice birthday, Mark. I hope you are better again, after the candle. ;) Belated all the best.

You pointed it out... :-D

but it seemed like there should have been a way to win the game
Yes, there is a way to "win" the game. Just see a post above your's.

If it doesen't help:
Play the game for an other time and do at least four of the points I listed in my last post, then a new dialogue option comes up when UNGA meets KONK again in the end. Select this option and you are able to make NONGA and UNGA happy. ;)

This game -if I'm allowed to say so- is my favourite one of the summerbatch and this podcast is at least just as enjoyable.

Can't wait for the next episode.

Sir, Captain, sir, I'm waiting (impatiently)!

Okay, only for you... and don't tell it to someone else:

You have to do several things to trigger a special answer for the last dialogue with KONK.
For the first playthrough you need 7 points. If you play for any next time you need 4 points only.
Here are some (not all!):

- get egg from bush
- get egg from women
- smash bone on rock (by the cave or by the river)
- throw bone up to figurine (below the cave of UNGA - after putting figurine into the small hole)
- remove clothes from the line after UNGA said the weather will change
- ask women what they are doing
- ask RONKO why FRAKO is working there

- (and some special ones)

All you have to do then, is to give the right answer to KONK in the end...

I hope this helps.

@kati:
It is definitely possible to be successful.
Maybe you try it a second time.

11
Thanks for that, Mark. Your render is quite different to the one I made for the game.
So, I'm looking forward to your *special edition* (the complete file pack with the original MIDIs and the In-game OGGs).

Thanks for sharing the link, selmiak.

@Ali:
Additionally, I had a fake name (in addition to my forum nickname, which is not my real name)!! The internet is strange!

13
I've tested it too and met Ali. At first I was confused to see someone there and then I thought: THIS THING IS SO GREAT!!

If I get this BST GMT+1 time thing right, I will join on Sunday as the Swordmaster (even though I'm looking 100% different).

14
Is it possible to see a people rating breakdown? Or is this gone with the new design?

(Apart from that I like the new look.)

15
Thanks for your kind words, Shadow. Great you had so much fun!

a smiling pirate:

(I hope it's okay for Ali?!)

17
Hooray for blueskirt and his "true adventure game fashion"-idea!!

For all the others:
It's not a special action that triggers the other ending. It's the summation of several things you can do - not all necessary to reach the end.
So, pick up everything (if it's possible several times), talk to everybody and maybe you can do things in a different way?
That's the trick...

Oh, if this doesn't help, here is the nasty part:
It's very hard to succeed during the first run (it's possible, but very hard).
If you have played once, try again right from the beginning!

18
To see the "succeeded" ending, you have to go to the beginning (but don't use an older save game!).

19
Thank you all for playing the game and for your comments.

Fact vs. Question:
Fact: It's good to catch a mammoth - if you can keep it for yourself.
Question: Did anyone see the second possible ending?

20
@ CaptainD & Arj0n: Thanx guys.

@ blueskirt: Hmmm, I can't reproduce this. Normally, after UNGA runs down, he should stay there. Did he walk up again without your influence? Did you click on the nest or did you just go near the nest? Was an inventory item active (though this should not matter)?

@ Eric: Oops! I'm genuinely sorry about that, should I? ;D I'm glad you enjoy it so far.
