I've uploaded an updated version of the game with a few minor bugs fixed. Hopefully, I haven't accidentally broken anything else. :)

Ah, I see the problem. I'll be sure to add a line hinting that you need to talk to the plant again when you use anything in your inventory on it before clarifying what exactly it's looking for in the next version.

hello,a little help please

Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
i tried using the old record with the lizard to paint it,but nothing happens, then i checked the hints and tips here and in one you mention this is actually what you have to do,i clicked with the record at the lizard, the painting, the tools and the paints...cant seem to get a result.i also spoke with the dude but no new dialogue choices.why cant i get it to trigger, what am i doing wrong?
Do you know exactly what the plant is looking for in exchange for its "medallion?" If not, you need to talk to it again.

Binge-played the first two so I can now play this one! Have very much enjoyed the series so far -- there's elements of the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde (which I love).

EDIT: Aaand I see that Fforde's just been referenced in Thalia's room!
Thank you! Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next series was a major influence on this series (as you might have picked up by now). The world in the series is more or less the computer game version of the Bookworld.

Wishing you the best! Btw, this paranormal researcher I mentioned, John Keel, suggests that the entities we used to know as fairy-tale creatures (gnomes, fairies, demons, etc.), are now pretending to be aliens and representatives of "Intergalactic Federation". So it's quite plausible that the regal Queen Valanice of the Daventry would now present herself as the space officer Thalia James ;)

Interesting. I've read a few sci-fi stories where the fantasy creatures of Earth are actually extraterrestrials (Clifford D. Simak's The Goblin Reservation is a great example).

Thank you very much for the feedback, Kini!

I was able to fix the problem you reported with Rusty, and another person reported a similar bug with the archeologist, but I was unable to replicate it. At this point, it seems like I'd have to have someone else take a look at that code, because I have no idea what could be causing that problem. Sorry. :(

Do you have any ideas for your next project?
I have a few ideas for much smaller games that I've started fleshing out. I haven't been able to make much headway yet, though.

Congratulations!

Something else you might have noticed:
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
If you ever try talking to Thalia in just about any other room in the game at any other time, she never says anything like "I haven't gotten to the point where I feel like talking to myself", she says "Sorry, I don't feel like talking right now". ;)

I can think of three "strange/out of this world" places: the alien planet, the 3D labyrinth, and the Momo game. Also the Administrator's room, but Thalia visits it early enough, not in a later part of the game. "Minus green": the creatures of the alien planet are green and shaped somewhat like minus sign, I tried talking to them, doesn't help.
You are very, very close. You have all the pieces, you just need to put them together. Also, regarding minus green:

About the ravine, top isn't the one but at bottom, there're two arrow (exit points) bottom right and slightly at middle left (as seen on below pic but cannot use it)
Ah, that hotspot. That arrow supposed to be there. It's just there to show that the ravine isn't finished being "built" yet. Thalia should try walking that way, say "Darn -- looks like this ravine doesn't lead anywhere.", then turn around.

Thank you very much, BunnyShoggoth!

I also loved the idea about "adventure archeology" and the pre-computer origins of the adventure genre. Know what, I have my own idea about this, that perhaps "purely digital" characters existed in some forms and interacted with humans before humans even invented computers. Some paranormal researchers believe that humanity during its whole history has been surrounded by weird teleporting and shapeshifting creatures made of unknown form of energy who manifested themselves as "ghosts", "demons", fairy folk, etc.; sounds really reminiscent of game characters with their changing sprites and CommKeys, doesn't it? ;)
That is some interesting stuff. There's probably enough material there to make a whole new game out of (though I doubt I'd be up to the task).

Here what I tried with record but no result:
1) having other character deal with it
2) I considered hidding cratches by dipping it into tar
Anything else I am missing?
Hints:
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
Have you met anyone who can help you make the record a different color?
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
Ichabod can help you. Give him the record to paint it a different color.
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
The color you should paint it is blue.

To room where silk is tied to a tree, I see an arrow pointing to ravine ravine hotspot but cannot exit this way
Answer:

Are you on top of the ravine? You should be able to leave that way. Try clicking in a slightly different spot.

about book, does any kind animal archealolist show me is correct one?
If not then which one?
Answer:
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
The archeologist should be able to help you identify the strange animal in the kids' room. If you try interacting with the book again and Thalia doesn't do it, you've got the right animal.

I might have encountered a bug: after getting recorder after she leave and try getting book again, game doesn't get further or get too long to process.!
Answer:
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
I'm having trouble understanding your problem. Are you saying that the game gets stuck? I tried replicating the problem and I couldn't get it to happen, unfortunately -- Thalia just walks to the books and says she's had enough identifying mammals for one day.

I already asked plant medalion and I presume it that thing malcom have thrown away
Answer:
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
That's not what the plant is looking for. The plant should have told you that it wants something that is the same shape as its medallion (round and flat), and it wants it to be a color that stands out from the other colors in the room it's in.

Transforming in to jennifer:
I presume when you said "North cliff" is the one left of archealolist?
There no obvious place to hide except slightly behind border but it's hard pointing that device on exact spot
If that room isn't right one then which one?
Answer:
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
That is the right room. Hide behind the rock pillar on the left by using the Hand icon on it.

Have you looked at the items near the archeologist and found anything that might help you solve a little mystery you might have encountered?

I know I need giving something to plant for white medalion - torin passge but what?

Have you talked with the plant to learn exactly what it wants in exchange for the medallion?

About mindsweep thing given by jeff - VR room, where can use it? I tried using on bird where I met malcom but it too far?
Hints:
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
You need something to lure the bird closer, and that requires helping another animal.
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
Have you noticed any creature in the kids' room that looks out of place?
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
Look at the creature sitting next to the stream. Have you met anyone who might be able to help you figure out what it is?

Go to the archeologist and examine the books beside her.

Where best place to transform into Jennifer?
Hints:
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
Remember how Rusty said that Jeff would probably be somewhere where he feels "at home?"
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
Look at Jeff's profile. What room in the Mega-Game would match up with his interests the most?

Go to the north cliff overlooking the ocean. Be sure to find a place to hide.

Ok, at the risk of sounding like a cheater, I’m going to bite the bullet and ask the question:  any plans for a walkthrough?  (Please?)  Loving this game, but I’m not even able to get as far as the folks asking questions in the hints & tips section.  I don’t want to give up on it, I really like this game!  Quirky and lots of fun!

Thanks in advance...just try not to scold me!  (laugh)
I'm glad you're enjoying it so far! There is a walkthrough available on the game's site.

That game was a trip and a half, an awesome conclusion to an awesome saga! Some if the puzzles were really tricky and ingenious, especially the ones relying on "in-game" mechanics, like
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
the code on the pillar in the 3D maze, the zoom-in and zoom-out in the garden to get the lazy CGMS agent to transport you, and the non-verbal dialogues in Suzy-Ann's console game.
What I'm really stumped on is

finding that Easter Egg with the questions.
Thank you very much!

Regarding the

Easter Egg, I'm assuming you saw my "out of this world" hint in the game announcement thread.

One more hint...

You're more than welcome. Thank you for the amazingly fun time! May I ask how long it took you to make the game?
Even though it's been about six years since I officially started working on this game, there were long stretches that I didn't get any work done. I added up the days where I recorded I worked, and the actual number of days I spent working on this game was a lot lower than I thought it would be: approximately 484.

The 3D maze section blew me away! I suspect it was kind of "simulated" 3D in the maze section but it was super well done! Did you create that effect yourself or was it a module?
Add spoiler tag for Hidden:
I did not make that section; that was Richard Evans (Wretched)'s Easy3D Module.

For a product that you obviously can never legally make a single cent from without getting hit by a million C&Ds it's top professional level in all regards.

You must be nuts! (laugh)
Yep. I definitely want to make a 100% original game now that I've got a good handle on AGS. It'll definitely take a while to get started, though.

Wow, thanks for the glowing appraisal, Mandle! I wanted to make this game longer and more difficult than the previous two games without making it ridiculously unfair and frustrating, and judging by what you're saying, it sounds like I hit that sweet spot. :)

I forgot the administrator was a dragon!

That was one of the parts of the game that made me feel like a genius!

I tried it on the spur of the moment, just in case, not expecting it to work, and then it did!

Pure magical feeling!
Cool! That part of the game stumped most of the testers, so congrats on figuring it out. :)

If anyone who has finished the game is wondering what the "Questions" section in the credits refers to, they are featured in an Easter Egg in the later part of the game that may be a little hard to find...but hopefully it isn't too out of this world.

*hint hint*  ;)
