General Discussion / I need a banner for my blog
« on: 23 Sep 2012, 21:53 »
I run a small, humble, personal blog in Spanish where I write about AGS Adventure Games and, from time to time, about some other indie game.
I'm not very good with photoshop or any other graphics software, so I guess I could ask here for some help. If any of you talented people wants to help me for free, that would be awesome!
Anyway, here is the Blog, I'm looking for an image without text, aside from that, you can let your imagination fly.

Thank you!

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Bugs Report
« on: 17 May 2012, 01:01 »
For the last couple of days I have been playing with the idea of creating some kind of template for the beta testers to report bugs.
Something like the Monkey Island 2 Bug report: http://grumpygamer.com/9738448
I thought of a PDF, but... sending a PDF for each bug or even having to download the template and then upload it again is not good.

What do you think? Would you like to see something like this to use with your beta testers?

General Discussion / I need an Ohio University student!
« on: 07 Nov 2011, 20:12 »
Hello!
As you might have figured out with the title, I need an Ohio University student, or somebody who knows one.
I want to take a look at some documents in this university's library freely available for the students via a service called "Document delivery" where they send the document to your mail.
I can't access it because I don't even live in the US. But maybe somebody here could help me out?
Thank you!  ;D

Adventure Related Talk & Chat / Translations
« on: 25 Jan 2011, 14:32 »
Hello, I know English is the international language and all but it would be great if game creators (specially those selling their games) would be willing to translate their creations. I do understand that paying a translator might be out of budget and nobody will translate for free a payed game.
Germany is (or was) a great market for adventure games. Also I know myself a lot of Spanish speaking people who doesn't play adventure games if they are not in Spanish.
Being able to understand what you have to do is really important in adventure games (not like in FPS).
There is a Portuguese game made in AGS, I didn't played it because I don´t really understand Portuguese. Have you played it? Did you enjoyed it the way you would had if it was in English?
For the non-English speaking is the same way with adventures in English, they don´t have a clue of what to do so they can't play the game.
I think translating their games designers will reach a wider audience.

Any toughs on this?

General Discussion / Indie Game: The Movie!
« on: 19 Dec 2010, 04:48 »
Coming on 2011.

From the official website: http://www.indiegamethemovie.com/
"Indie Game: The Movie is a feature documentary about video games, their creators and the craft.  It examines independent game developers as a way to understand the medium and the theory behind video games. Throughout, the film focuses on the human side of the creative process, and the connections between game and game-maker."

Those short movies on the website look pretty interesting.
