Hints & Tips / Sierra game - enclosure

Has anyone played this? It's meant to be a bad ass game, and what i've played so far is sweet. But I'm stuck already and have been for two days now - not that far into the game you have to collect ashes, blood and candles for a seance. I just need the candles now, but I have to get a photo of frank to trade with them and I can't get the photo!

It's in his luggage in his room which is guarded by that weird tank guard machine thingy.

Anyone know what to do?

Why does my version of 'The Gimp' (general drawing program) NOT have a line tool or a circle and square tool?
Do I have a really old version?
Does Gimp not have these tools all the time?
WHY??

Are there any other gimpers out there that know?

I have a cowboy character i made - he's supposed to be young and naive - i pretty much want him the same character that guybrush is right at the start of mi1 - YES HE IS SUPPOSED TO BE BLACK/W
Please c&c me - ps i know about the white pixels on his hat - i couldn't be bothered to change them before i posted.

I also have a background

If someone tells me the code for resizing the image I'll edit the large b/g - there is a code right?

Anyway - tear me to pieces....

I have no idea where the hell this thread should go - if it doesn't fit here - sorry.
BUT.. where can I download mspaint!!? I had a little hard drive accident!! : I really need it back! Any ideas? Preferably a free download (of course)

Critics' Lounge / Shading stuff

Hey! I'm really not getting the hang of shading my characters - I can't find one, but is there a tutorial on how to do this well?
Here's a crummy drawing of 'Jay' (without silent BOB) that i have tried to shade - You see what I mean? It looks ... wrong

So any ideas or tutorials avaliable out there?

Beginners' Technical Questions / Dialog type stuff

Just a quikie....

How would I go about making several characters speak at the same time - where the dialog lines apear on the screen at once?
Also - how about having a character talk whilst you can just ignore him - so they're kinda in the background - like the bad comic in cirque de vale?

AGS Games in Production / Johnny's Odyssey

I only downloaded ags about three weeks ago - I haven't done anything like this before... Basicaly, I was wondering if people could check out afew screenshots and say what they think of stuff like graphics and stuff.
   I'm a bit technologically challenged - but you should be able to click here for one screenshot and here for the other.. let me know what you think.
   The game's getting pretty big now - about 20 rooms - but I posted this as a kind of quality control - there's no point expanding further if it doesn't look good enough to make. If my links didn't work I'll fix em in a sec.,,,
