This sucks! My virus-scanner deleted the HardSpace!.exe when I tried to start the game!
How is this possible?!?  :P

If your virus scanner is Norton (especially a recent version) most of the stuff it removes are false positives that you can get back through quarantine.

Withdrew from lurk mode to add a small contribution!

Did you return the silver bowl?

I tried to, in fact I was pretty convinved that was what I had to do. But I thought I'd get an opportunity to at the end of the game, and I didn't. Time to restart!

EDIT: Well, I just played through the entirety of the game again. Gotta say, for anyone in the same situation I was, it's not really worth it!

4
Well, I finished it! But with 81 out of 82 points... tell me, is it worth replaying the game just to hunt for that single point? Will I be rewarded in any way?

I heavily advise against AVG! Recently, it started deciding that files and games associated with another piece of game development software, Multimedia Fusion, were viruses. People I know had years and years of games in progress deleted in an instant due to AVG.

If anyone is running AVG, it is best to have it set to the notify mode rather than the automatically delete mode. Heed my warning, for AGS could be next!

Yes I have... doesn't work

The click detection is a single pixel, I believe. If you're running it in 320x200 mode there might be issues too.

Here's an outdated walkthrough which might help people through the first part of the game, though it is inaccurate in some areas as it was made for a rather old demo.

Sergio, I can't get your setup thingy to work either.

Ack! My fault, I knew I'd make some silly mistake. The first line got cut off as a result of it messing up the BBcode or something. It should work now, but the other solution posted is probably better.

Also, I'm stuck:
How do I get [to] the glint in the maze?

Good game so far, though I haven't seen much that I hadn't seen before yet. I'll probably comment more at a later time.

I'm unable to run setup.bat (I wonder why?) and I was wondering why you didn't include a default setup file , as the game looks utterly atrocious in 320x200. In fact, I seem to remember there was no setup file in the original demo, but I could be wrong as it's been a long time.

Anyway, if anyone else is having trouble in this area, this is the acsetup.cfg file I stole from another, more newer Windows friendly game. Keep in mind save files are incompatible across different resolutions. Apologies if I messed up somewhere, somehow...

I really would advise against WMA. It's probably one of the worst file formats for the job.

I can't decide if I want this be released quickly, preventing "Ben Jordan Forever" catching on as a lame meme... or not so quickly, so that the lame meme catches on. Hmmm.

Please finish this, I promise I will play it. The visual style reminds me of the "cutting-edge" 3D animation VHS tapes I used to watch as a child, often featuring characters constructed of simple shapes like yours is, with similar trippy scenery to yours- often with no explanation as to why at all.

I also like the story for some reason.

If you like SID tunes, grab the High Voltage Sid Collection. It's basically every SID track ever written, categorized.

Already have it, thanks ! Good to hear there's a sound mixer too.

Interesting choice of musicians too.  Matt Gray I know, Reyn Ouwehand I know (I love his live Green Beret remixes) but the other two are totally new to me. I'm listening to both of them now and they both seem fairly fantastic despite having small bodies of work. Well, compared to someone like DRAX at least.

I love that this game is using C64 tunes and I hope you'll include a sound mixer so I can lower the volume of sound effects- they were a little too loud for me to hear the music. Who is the musician/musicians?

This is a fantastic game, definitely one of the most innovative adventure games I have ever played. I enjoyed it a lot, you should be very proud of it Vince and Ivy. No luck finding the Easter eggs yet though...

I think it's ridiculous. If they allowed Davy Jones C'est Mort and Mika's Surreal Dream (which I seem to recall depicts a stick figure urinating) they should allow this...

This game was inspirational to me, I don't know how else to put it. But the end really annoyed me.
