Even though it was based off a board game, the satire was still present in the film, and there is no way you can say it wasn't there. In fact, it is my knowledge of politics that allowed me to find the political satire thrown into Clue actually funny.
Also, yes, there are some very nice things that came from France, and as I said before, I know a lot of French whom I like very much, but there is a general atmosphere in France that I do not like.
That and the smell.

The reason I mention this quotation is twofold: first, Clue was a pretty funny movie, and second, it's completely true. The UN is filled with, frankly, a bunch of bureaucratic fools who have their heads so far up their asses, and up Kofi's ass at times that they don't know what they are doing. The UN is nice in theory, but in practice is a joke. Like Communism, and look how that always ends up.
Also, come on guys, it's the French.

Freedom Fries were more or less a joke, nobody really called them that, and it was a governmental decree like I get the impression that you're alluding to in your post. It was just some guys having fun.
I mean, they said the same thing about French Toast, also in jest, but nobody called it Freedom Toast. It was all fooling around. People knew that French Toast had nothing to do with the French, it was named after the man who invented it: Dr. Toast.

Yeah, I read a stupid essay on @ in Spanish once. . .yeah.
It mentioned something about the sign (arroba, as said) was used by merchants or something a while ago in their transactions, so it might have been used as unit of measurement. I don't know. It was very vague and I wasn't really paying attention.

I think it's just a general sentiment that a lot of French are asses. Hey, nothing wrong with that. I know a lot of French people. One of my good friends who lives a couple doors down is French, but he's an ass. It's funny when you get right down to it. So, yeah, it was just a general feeling about the French Snootiness.

Now, I haven't been to these boards much lately, because of the whole real world thing, but I stopped by recently and I decided to pipe up again.
So, why did the US ask for other countries help in the first place? Because they were being polite. Say you're going to go play some Football with your buddies, and you've got a really good team, you don't really need to ask anyone for help, but you'll still invite anyone you happen to pass on your way to the field because, a) they'd be all heart broken if you didn't, and b) more men does add a factor of imtimidation to the game, even if half of them don't do anything. So basically, America was being polite to other militaries of the world. Making them feel good about themselves.
As towards the point of Michael Moore Hates America, if you read the site the filmmaker says that it isn't a film about Michael Moore specifically. It is about why the film maker believes America is great. And he also has some pretty interesting people as interviewees.

Okay, so I do not claim to be an expert on this stuff at all, but from what I've read and seen portrayed, I think split-personalities do indeed view themselves as different people, but sometimes can aknowledge that they are in the same body.
On a related note, I recently saw something like this. If you've never seen Psycho, or have no idea about the ending, don't read.

Flinnt, are you a black american? Because if not, I think this is a moot point and you are just making an uproar for no reason.
This is not something that should be protested, we should never rewrite history, no matter how dark it is. It's our darkest mistakes and how we learn from them that makes our country so great. The KKK, the Black Panther movement, and various other things like that may have been very ill thought-out and stupid, but they happened and it's just something you have to accept.
Actually, I even rank Birth of a Nation as one of the most important films of all time. Not because of the racism (I've seen it, and the racism in it is actually really ridiculous) but because it was the first full-length film created. It is actually a pretty accurate portrayal of the South's emotions during postbellum years. It's actually educational to a point.

You want to know about going overboard with the digital editing, well I found this little tidbit on www.imdb.com:
"In a scene in the Skywalker home, George Lucas digitally altered Jake Lloyd's eyes to look in a different direction momentarily."
That's right, instead of George Lucas helping the kid ACT (which a director should do), he merely changed his acting with computers later one. That's just kind of silly. That's definately my favorite trivia I read. Well, that and:
"During filming Ewan McGregor made lightsaber noises as he dueled. It was noted and corrected during post production."
That one is just really freakin' cool.
Also, I think it was Lucas and Carrie Fischer who decided together in the first movie that she would do a faux british accent as her "government official" voice.

Just finished the game (and I have a pretty good idea of what the bonus puzzle is) and I have to say that was great. It was a good story and rather good puzzles that actually were pretty easy to figure out given the hints. Aside from the Quill part, it was all laid out for you as to what to do, you just need to pay attention.
So, I just have to say a job very well done, boys. Keep up the good work.
One bug I did notice, though, was that when you are on the pier, if you are by the diving machine and you click on "walk to main map," you get sent to the main map, although you are no where near the stairs. I'm not complaining about this, because it actually saves a lot of time, but I just thought I'd mention it.
Once again, a very well made game.

Huzzah!
While I was playing the game (again because of that puzzle that needs to be complete before a certain point), I got to the above part. This is when you go to the tent, you go into a dialogue automatically. Well, because of this, I think the script for that little guy did not run correctly, so he just sat on the screen doing nothing.
He's not a hotspot or anything, I think it's just part of a script, but here is a picture of the guy that everyone has been talking about. I assume it's just a little easter egg thing, but I thought you guys might want to see it.

Here's my opinion on the debate. Yeah, the games are okay, I wouldn't say they were amazing, but I think the reason people are talking about this so much is because it's Yahtzee who made them.
The entire Yahtzee story is a very odd one, and the reasons he left and what he said when he left just sort of add to the attention his games get when they come out.
So, these have been decent games that anyone would get noticed if they made, but because it was Yahtzee who made them, they get noticed more.

Oh, if we are also going to mention puzzles we hated, then (this technically counts) the Anti-Gravity skating puzzle in Space Quest 4, when the Sequel Police are chasing you. Man, I hated that puzzle.
