So... I'm working on this game, see.  ;)
This is part of the home of our hero, the secret agent. Not finished yet, but it would be nice to get some feedback before I get totally lost.

EDIT: Added some more details. No major empty spots left. (That's the Queen on the wall :) )

As I said it's not quite finished and it'll propably never be. I was sloppy when I started so the perspective is a bit off here and there. Just curious what you think of the style.

EDIT 2: Added char. See bottom post.

It's quite nice so far. I would make the grain on the floor a bit more soft and not so grainy...

That looks good!

The style reminds me of a game I played a while ago..... argh! what was it called??

It was a game similar to Hugo: House of Horrors...except not...

ok - that made zero sense.

Let's just leave it at 'I like it'
Peter: "Being faggy isn't bad!"
AGA: "Shush, FAG!"

Thank you both! :)

I feel I still have to get some more "feeling" into it. The style I tried for is a somewhat of a Buccaneer/FoA style. I don't know if I'm anywhere close yet, but it's my first decent effort so give me a break!!! ;)

OÚQQ: Yeah.  Textures is still a mystery to me. Hard to make it look good without going overboard ;)

Ah... I've just moved, so I haven't been able to do much of anything lately...but now I'm back! :)

Chikago666: No offense taken! I'm actually flattered that people take the time to do an edit. (And a picture says more that a thousand words, right?)

So... I'm teaching myself this graphics stuff. It's kind of hard when my drawing skills have been more or less dead in the water since age 12. Now I bring you the first character of my game. Don't know what I'll use him for yet, but I can't be bothered by drawing too many of theese, so I have to use him for something. Well... TADA!!!

Reminds you of Groundskeeper Willie, doesn't he? ;)

Nicely drawn character, that is.

But your BG looks empty and... boring.
Try to add detail a little, put a floor plant to the corner, rip a bit of tapestry apart, or if it's a very clean and nice room, add a little shelf with pot of plants or something like that! otherwise, It'll be just a big empty room.

And shade everything!
Currently, two connected walls have excactly same color/light, and this is completely unnatural. Make one (or other two) darker, and make them all darker in corners and near the floor. This is just a little work, but picture changes quite much by that. Positively, of course. Think where light source in such room would be, it helps when shading.
