Ahoy Jaz and Foz!

This is some quality work.  Excellent atmosphere and some clever-if-simple puzzles.  I'd definitely like to see a full-length game with this character.  The music adds a lot to the experience - I love Miles Davis.  :-D

The only quibble is that some of the hotspots are impossible to find.  The display case lock took me a while to find.  But otherwise, great!  Short but sweet.

Agreed, it took me awhile to find the pole.

Hi everybody, thanks for your (so far) positive replies.

I hate pixelhunting and we tried to avoid it as much as possible. I agree that the lock is a bit small though... But I think we were overally successful.
We are glad that you like the atmosphere of the game, seems like we created the mood we aimed for.

Dave -  full game? Hmmm.... there miiiight be a sequel to this shortie as the ending is a bit open but we have MIA to work on now. We, however, would like to make a quality adventure one time and Coup de Cup proved that we can work together well. We have some plans and time will tell.

This was very well done, the art style was spectacular, and I have played through it more than once. My only complaints were two minor things:

1) The guard takes up a very large hotspot/context area after he is shocked.

2) The plant and vase in the cup room should be in the foreground yet the player can move so he is on top of them (as if they were shadows).

I love the interface you have worked out, it all flows very well.

...and all for one franc!

Wow, excellent game, guys! Love the graphics, the use of Miles Davis' music, and the overall atmosphere. The puzzles are smart, too. The GUIs are great too, I'd love it if you had made your game open-source, but I respect your decision not to.

One small comment though, it'd be better if you made the introduction skip-able, since it's kinda lengthy. Otherwise, it's definitely one of the best MAGS games I've played!

Lazy Z...

The intro is skipable....sort of....

If you hold any key it will speed thru text and go to first screen...

Yeah that's true, I figured that out on my own a while ago while playing another game :P. I was referring to something using the StartCutscence command, but it's no biggie.

I used the StartCutscence command for the titles part  but deceided not to use for the conversation part as it tells the story and might have been missed without realizing....

If i had time i would have made it skip that too if a savegame file was present.....i`ll do that in the revised version

Yeah, when you two join, your games are even better (I even thought that was difficult...).
A very good game!

That's a great game, the protagonist certainly has a lot of character!
