a container! I can't get medicines! Everytime I reload and although everything I try to do, I just wander around without being able to go on... I can't get any medicines, towels, bandages, lighter, food, etc. A suggestion: why not hints about you don't need a certain item right now, but that later you maybe will? I am stuck at 10 o'clock yet... *sigh*

The only thing you have to do if you want to finish the first part is to think as you were Leonard. It means that when you try to get an object he can't say I don't need it now, because he doesn't know if that object will be useful or not in the future. In the same way when Leonard finds out new clues, a previously unnecessary object can turn into something useful and so he will get it. Now, if you consider the matter from his point of view you should be able to understand why he gets an object and how he can use it.

Yvonne

Well, but Ketmaier KNOWS that it's "too dark to enter". and he knows that there is a torch in his bedroom.
And yet, like a complete imbecile he goes on saiyng that he does not need the torch (neither the lighter, nor the branch - with a towel/bandage + oil + lighter he could make and light up a torch).

Ketmaier

Yes you're right and I have to apologize because Leonard should'nt say It's too dark to enter: that's a BUG!!! related to the walkable area. I'm sorry...just don't consider it.

Nostradamus

Well well... the graphics are awesome and story is interesting... but it's not very user friendly.. I try to grab something and he says "I can't reach it from here" that's the most annoying sentence in adventure games ever. So I'm in th elinving room trying to take the camera but he can't reach it so I try walking towards it... no luck... he doesn't want to pass the couches no matter where I go and where I walk down the screen the character freezes at the bottom and doesn't move anymore..

Dear Kitmaier:

Hi! And congratulations for fine game that has got stuck everyone I know - yeah, I've tried a few friends, but they're as myself (using the expression I read before in a thread) - stuck glued. You can confirm that here:
http://www.agsforums.com/yabb/index.php?topic=14679.0

You're right, theÃ,  player must think as Ketmaier. The player must "dress" his character. Ok. But what about the off / narrator / etc., telling things Ketmaier doesn't / didn't / shall not / shouldn't know, but a third part - eg a player - should...
Pls! Without that kind of tips, your game is too hard... (that's at least my opinion).

Oh, a hint: if you want to place hidden hints / tips / etc.

Bravo Primus!  I agree!  After a while you get so sick of being stuck in a game that you just want to delete it and be done.  Maybe time to move onto something else where you can get decent tips!

Hi, Tvcooper2001:
I've felt that before, but fortunately I didn't delete too many games due to that: sooner or later, I could go on. I must confess I have a few games half done... half notÃ,  :-[

This one in special, I like it, its "ambiance", the so much effort and work showed by Ketmaier to made a so quality game and all  extra ones giving us an English version, and so on. I'd feel like as a "trahitor" just giving up... And old andventure gamers as me like challenges. But in this case I must confess I give up: please, Ketmaier, our ten o'clock watches need to go on, they need a DIRECT tip, prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrease.... :P

Ah, I wish I had known to press ESC for saving instead of F9.  :-\  At least it shouldn't take me too long to get back to where I was stuck.  Reading through this thread has given me some ideas.  Hopefully I'll get farther when I try again!

ketmaier,
is there an internal clock in this game? i've matched up the pics and re-examined the body and finally got the message,
"i guess it's time to report my findings to the abbot"
i keep wandering around the abbey but i can't find him, and his door is always locked. someone told me that if i go up to where the mad monk is and come back down, the abbot will appear, but he doesn't
hint greatfully appreciated

Hi, Porchbeast!

No, don't go to where the mad monkey is, but go out from the abbey by that walk where you can also visit the old ruins, then go back, or then go to the fountain: you'll see the abbot drinking water. Wait till he gets out that screen and so comes back to his room: at that point you can visit him. If you don't see him, try again by going to the upper screen, then going back.

How did you do that, pls?! What did you do? Please...

Spoiler
Kitchen - Lighter (can't take)
Living room - Credit card on sofa under pillow (use hand on sofa)
In front of the abbey where car stops - Branch (can't take)

The monk Eldo is so upset and he won't talk because he has not taken his tranquilizers today. After you have this information you'll be able to pick up tranquilizers from bathroom, chalice + water from fountain, and put medicine in chalice. But Eldo (who has important information) says "Eldo not thirsty".

tvcooper2001

Nelinas,  Thank you.....looks like I missed a couple of things as I suspected.

Is Eldo the monk that is pacing around.  How did you get info on the tranquilizers?

I clicked on the couch pillow like you said and he did say here is my credit card.  But, the card does not show un in my inventory???  Does it in yours?

Perhaps you are supposed to switch chalaces in Abbot's office and that is what makes he sleep?

tvcooper2001

Never mind about the credit card.  I just didn't pick it up.  Got it now though.
