Yahtzee & AGS, the history

(1/8) > >>

CSFS:
What the heck has Yahtzee done here that pissed you all off to such an enormous degree?

I'm not defending him or anything, just curious as to what created this rift that appears to have spanned many years...

I did search to find out, but everyone seemed to be saying "Yahtzee is evil" or "let's not mention Yahtzee here," but not actually *why*.

So, why??

Chris

Pessi:
I think the main issues were his ego and thus the very negative attitude. To me, he seemed hostile.

I never saw him help anyone. I could be wrong on this one though.

He was always going on about himself. He never encouraged anyone.

It's just that he was a negative person, and people just couldn't stand it. It's like going on a date with a person that only talks about him or herself.

He can make average games though. Even though I think the majority of people thinks he can make really good games. Perhaps they're just not my preference in style (not meaning art).

Hehe, as you pointed out, it's best just not to mention him. Not that he was a taboo or anything. It's just that the negative attitude comes with that name.

Funny, you've only posted one topic and it involves Yahtzee.

* Pessi makes conclusions.
Just kidding.

Roy Lazarovich:
I remember Yahtzee vaguely, since he disappeared around the time I joined the community, I remember him writing all sorts of articles about adventure games, or am I confusing him with someone else?

Joseph DiPerla:
He never really did anything to me.

He seemed to be okay. On the forums I never found a problem with him. I never noticed an ego problem. But then again, I never communicated with him that much anyways...

He did make a heck of a lot of good games.

Besides, my moto is: Try and find something good in a person, and you will always be happy and at peace with that individual.

And, he was pretty young when he was in the community, maybe he matured a liitle. Again, I never NOTICED a problem.
