So.... any sign on being able to see this? I'm just interested in seeing a good demo game while trying to work on mine and from the thread it sounds like this is pretty neato, but unfortunately has vanished into the ether... Anyone who have it want to host it somewhere? Pleeease?

Agreed. Even if it was over complicated and becoming more and more redundant it was pretty useful as a reference for the odd bit of code. Anyone want to email it me for temporary hosting on my googlepages site?

Pardon my newbiness...but I don't understand what this is
Is it just an example game? is it a bunch of scripts that you can start from while making your own game? Or is it a mod?

Could you please explain it a little better? The first post makes no sense to me.
For instance, how am I supposed to now which minigame I'd want to download when they're named things like "DqSci0-S0100-B02" ?

1.  DemoQuest is an example game that shows what a typical script looks like and how to do some of the basic things.

2. The main game download includes executables for the mini-games.  You can run them separately or from the mini-game.   If you want to see the source code then you can download the source distribution which would be labeled something like DqSci0-S0100-B02.   You would know this is the file you want because it's executable would be labeled something like DqSci0-S0100.exe or DqSci0.ags.      This particular one is a SCI0 style GUI example; the is also an AGI style GUI example and there are "point and click"   PnC variations as well.   I don't know what the AGI of SCI0 acronyms stand for either perhaps some one else can answer that.

man, i wish this had been available when i started out trying to learn the scripting language. at the time the demo was unavailable so i had to teach myself

i used to do commercial programming in a past life, but i still found a lot of it (particularly the import/export stuff) totally confusing and frustrating without any examples to look at. like most things in life it's easy when you know how, and impenetrable when you don't

this piece of work will almost certainly be a great deal of use to a lot of newcomers though. kudos
