Ok. That's my first MAGS game ! (Done in 9 days. I didn't sleep very much)

I finaly have made a translation, so I hope you will understand my game now

This game is about a dying guy with an ugly face, who desire to see the sea one time before he dies, but he's imprisoned in the attic by his cruel father...

Changes
3 Jan : New mirror

-add some palette effect...and a title

I think it works.

When you clic on the link, a new page appear with 3 links in it, you have to clic on the last one : "Click here to get the file you were trying to download."

Great game, except from it being French...
Many cool animations, but I couldn't get a word of what he said...

It's wonderful, and from the little french I can understand, very moving and serious (I always thought that MAGS is a humorous competition, he he <-example of humorous response).
I would love it if somebody translated it... the intro with the book is great... the game is very sad... and I'm stuck:

I'm already outside and have the mousetrap... I think I need the mouse to scare the clerk at Fast Food and get the mobile phone, but I cannot place the mousetrap back at home - I think I need a bait (hamburger) but how to obtain it?

The only downside is the lack of "look" messages and I found a bug: you can get the bedsheet repeatedly when clicking at the wardrobe... anyway I really like it, congratulations, Dorcan, another quality release! You grow to be one of my favourite designers here ;-)
And I also love Moby Dick...

Too bad I haden't time to post a reply 3 hours ago, because I already have fixed this prob of lack of "look" message !! I had time to finish the game completely today, so for everybody :

I think it would be a good Idea to download the game again hehe

I've been waiting for the English release, the game looks good and the puzzles seem challenging, I've only had a short go, and I haven't escaped the room yet so I guess I haven't even solved the first puzzle yet.

The main character looks almost identical to Michael Jackson, this might have been what he was treated like as a kid???

I have used the hacksaw on the bars, and pushed the bar but cant open the window, it's sealed.
btw when you've used the hacksaw, and put the tools back, get the tools again you have 2 hacksaws, well one is broken,
I've also used the dummy under the sheets so dad thinks i'm there, I just can't get out of the room, I must have missed something

First, the message when you interact with the window was an old one, I forgot to change it. Now it's done!
He says : "No, I can't jump from here! It's to high !".

You have to make something that will help you to go down.

Believe it or not, Michael Jackson used to look like a normal black kid (yes, black!) There was some horrible accident where he got covered in acid or something and now Batman's got his eye on him.

I use the cell phone; the controller does not answer; I exit the restaurant, click on the train station, then we see the phone ringing, then the screen switches back to the restaurant, and you can converse with the controller, after which the character reappears in the restaurant

Ok, I have a problem.
If I pick up the dressmaker's dummy, then open the box, I can't put the dummy back down. If I try to go into the inventory, the main character says something in french and the inventory doesn't open.

EDIT: This is more of a bug actually. I figured out how to get past it, but the problem's still there for someone who doesn't know what to do.

I fixed this translation problem. He says : "I must first put this dressmaker's dummy somewhere intelligent !" when you try to open the inventory while you are carying this dummy.

It's just that a dummy can't be put in a pocket. And if you clic on "box" he should put it back. There wasn't any prob for me i think...

Done! Very good game! I can't wait to see your first game outside MAGS. Translation isn't perfect (also I saw two sentances in French) but understandable (is there even such a word?). Nice job, and surely gets my MAGS vote (big surprise, huh?).

Awright, I've played it and finished it now.

A great game. The atmosphere was touching and disturbing. Very very nice. THe slight comical features in the latrer part of the game didn't fit that well into it, but the end took it back to the old feelings. It seems like you've started out to make a one-room game but added more things to it

Anyho', the graphics are nice. The outdoor focus was a nice idea, but I thought it didn't work that well. Beautiful anims, but using the same over and over got a bit tedious in the end.

The intro was a filmic masterpiece in it's simplicity. Very very very very good in other words. Puzzles we're nice, but you had a bit of pixelhunting there which was slightly annoying

. Apart from that, a completely kickass product!

Four thumbs up!

I finished it two days ago and I must say it's absolutely marvellous. Easily one of the most captivating ags games yet. It's a tad short, but since it was for MAGS I can't really hold that against it.

Great job Dorcan.

Moynusfrey, it was nothing to do with Opera. It meant that his hourly (or daily) bandwidth maximum had been exceeded. Because you waited awhile, it became available for download again.

you can use your game to enter some famous french (or other) art school it is really unusual to have a video game to enter a school that's what i will do with my game if it's playable enough
more over over your game is kinda complete it's good for you

everything is usefull son you 'll realise later as i did long after my first art school

do you draw comics or funny stuff and most important what do you want to do when you are grown up?I want to work in cinema or animated cinema and why not video games....mm well i ll continue this by mail because cj pay for the bandwidth and it's a bit out of the topic:)
