I think you need to improve your skills A LOT! Learn from this game, try to improve, look up images in google for old adventure games, y'know?

Em, the ticket office thing is frustrating to the max! Why didn't you just make the guard throw you out other than making a gameover, sheeesh!Ã,  ::)

The grphics suck soooo bad that you indeed have created a unique style. I don't know what your intentions were but honestly it was a funny game! And honestly don't take it hard, I mean it in the best way possible! This could become a CULT hit!

Guys: Do download this little (weird) diamond. It's less than 1 Mb, with lovely music, and interesting animation and graphics.

Yes, I did and I did that just for fun to see if you've done any(more) animations. Speaking of animations, it's better to make a big canvas for a start and when you import frame by frame, use crop sprite edges(symetric).

Well, I agree with Nikolas on outnumbering 95% of the people on the forums ;).

Thanks, nikolas. This series of games is going to be like LucasArts games- the first game is style after games from 1989, the second-1992, and the rest will use art that not even the FoY team can front on! (kidding) and seriously, I can't picture david smith and tyson becoming the next "sam and max" or "han and chewie" or whatever. The sequel will be 3X as long as this one, and (I don't how good bgs will be) the characters will be better.

Bugs Report V.1

In the begining you have your man say my thingie mewhatever can sort this out. however when you need to look at it well. He talks and you cant read what he says cause inventory box in way. You must fix that.

Your general animation is buggy things dissapear and reappear (robot) things loop over and over.(car and plane)

The game is really just alot of paint screens slapped together and well you wlak through them there is no real puzzles. The screens dont provide you with clear exits etc. On one  part you have to use your hand on what looks like a message board (not a spoiler just a general bug and frustration!)

There is some buggy speech loops.

And for all the walking done in the game I really dont like the walk cycle and the speed should be set up.

Yoda man dont call people stupid. That just upsets me to see a n00b call people stupid and show disrespect to the people that played your game IMO this is a bad game. I felt nothing towards it, it frustrated me to play it just because of your general attitude.

I am not like Nikoles and this will not make a cult hit, clockwork orange was a cult hit... your come in guns blazing but the only thing firing is your mouth.

I have had enough of people with a lack of respect and that dont listen and learn!!!!

Anyway the music was GREAT!! You really have talent in this department.

But you really should give the other aspects of your game the same amount of attention as you did your music.
Quick question how long did 1 song take you?

Edit: Why is the graphics going to be better your going to spend more time on them?

It is the ugliest game I ever played (or ever created I think.)... BUT I never cared for looks - If it is fun to play I will like it.Ã,  So I downloaded it... And when I started to play I realised looks ARE important. Most of the time I wasn't sure what am I looking at, where am I supposed to be and what is that ugly thing over there. I had no idea what are those things in my inventory. Guessing how you could leave a room just because the background is something awfull was not fun either.

Bottom line is: I don't have fun trying to guess whats that background is supposed to be. And if the game ain't fun, then why would I play it?

I can teach a monkey to draw better sprites than you. Harsh, but true. I'm begging you to try and improve. Listen to the advices given in the critics lounge and look at some goodly drawn adventure games. You can do better than that - I'm sure. Now go and read a tutorial or something!

Ohh and the music is really good.

The music is pretty good. If you really did it yourself (which I don't think), I'm impressed.

Awesome. I love the walkcycle and talking view. Full fo bugs and totally unclear how to finish it, but hey.

You also forgot to turn Debug mode off, so you can use CTRL-X to teleport

And could you post a walkthrough?

The walkcycles incredible, I actually burst out laughing at the "up" walk animation. The graphics as everyone has said are awful and there are loads of bugs but at least your enthusiastic about making games. If you make any more - which I have no doubt you will - I'll play them.

But for the love of Jeff please work harder on the characters and backgrounds... you must be able to do better.

Walk down then your infront of red brick wall which you use that second inventory item mgidget on.
then your at gang and tell them anything
then use the robot (if not done automaticaly) then exit down.
then talk to captian
then watch cutscene... then exit right
Click with the hand cursor on the green board ontop.
Use robot thingy on door and then that other open magadget. (you used on the brick wall)
(not sure if here or the next door, bite me)
talk to man and say need to get to new york or something.
then exit down andÃ,  and enter that terminal place and speak to jack.
Just tell jack you got his name at the plane dude.
Use jack card on old man in gadget workshop after speaking to machanic this will get you a flying mcgidget to fly onto the roof where you will met some other man.
Then your on a beach and then you talk to terrorist which will shoot you.
Then in the spaceship there is a terminal yo uuse... cant remember from here... dammit sleep deprevation! but anyway i really think you were joking so RODL

I tend to agree.  Graphics and animation don't have to be great, but they should be discernable. 

Anyway, it's still very interesting.  And the music is great!  I love the New Zealand theme!

As a side note, I've run into at least one room that doesn't have an exit that I could find.  It's the one that has the door that goes to the ticket office with the smoke in it.

I think an appropriate response to this game is "OMFG!". But I'll go a bit further.

I couldn't get far, because things made no sense. I didn't know what I was supposed to do, and then I somehow got though a brick wall.....

I think this game needs more polishing before you make any more, or else people will simply not play any future releases by you.

Funny walkcycles, lots of wierd stuff, AND VERY CONFUSING!!
I must say I diddent feel like trying to finnish it..
But if you improve your art, makes things a little bit less confusing I think your games can be great!

But I just couldent continue playing as I found it to confusing.

thanks for your, uh, compliments. Most music took a couple minutes to make (the new zealand theme took like ten to fifteen). The sequel to this game will be a lot improved (I hope). I'm possibly getting buloght to do characters (but he may not have the right "style"). Although some of you may be disapointed by the "better graphics" over the hilarious-ish ones (eg: walkcycles).

I think when Buloght makes characters, then they should have Buloght's style, because it looks better than your style (no offense, but it just is so). And I'd advise you to hire someone to do the BGs too, that could fit with Buloght's style. I mean - I can't imaginate a game with damn good looking characters but with these.. um.. BGs you got there.

Anyway, good luck on the sequel.

Do it all yourself, then the game will be good at a retarded, humorous level.

Or hire people to do scripting and all the rest, too, and buy them donuts or drinks.

OMG! WTF is this! I needed a good laugh.. And I got it!

Not only have you used mspaint but you don't even seem to know how to draw circles... that's a pretty basic function lol.

Best game ever. I really like the walking animation when he goes "down" and swinging his arms. A true classic!

Sounds like a good plan, but I'd suggest taking it a little more seriously yourself.
I'm not saying your ideas are not good, they are.  But they deserve more effort.   :)
