Topic: Hallway of Adventures

I've been playing this neat game from the 4th OROW contest but am stuck.

I have the maginifying glass, skeleton hand holding boiled mushroom, 4 keys, and a pickaxe.  I got the door to the left to open but can't figure out how to get to the black book.  Around the librarian, there are six stones one can push, but I can't figure out the right combo of 4.  I've tried to mimic the colors of the leaves on the painting in various combos but no luck so far.  Same for the door on the right.  12 holes, 4 keys.  I've taken the advice of the librarian to keep my surroundings in mind and position the keys based on how the tree, rock, water, and sun are positioned on the screen.  If the dots are labeled 1-12 with 1-3 being top row, 4-6 second row, etc.  I placed the sun in 3, tree in 4, water in 8, and rock in 11.  I've tried a few other possibilities too but again no luck.

Look at the painting, and use the sequence described.

Thanks, I finally got the colors puzzle and got the gold.  Still trying to work out the right hand door puzzle.

This puzzle is tricky because of the perspective of the door.
Look at the dessert backgroung and you'll see a sun, a tree, a ppool of water and a rock.
You have to put the right key in the location of the door where the objects are.

I think it was this order.

. . S  Sun
. T .  Tree
. . W  Water
. R .  Rock

If you look closely at the door, there are faint yellow, brown and blue marks where the sun, tree and water keys should go. The rock is right below the tree. My brain had all but melted when I finally figured that out.

I have the right door open but I don't know how to open the left door. In my inventory, I have the magniflying glass, the glass jar and the acid bowl.

Thanks guys for the further clarification on the door puzzle!  I think I spent 4 hours trying to figure it out last night with no luck. 

Edit: Finished the game.  This was a very strong entry for the OROW competition.  I'm impressed with the graphics and how one section melds into the next.  The Heist is a good game, but Hallway of Adventures stands right alongside the best entries.

You're going to need to do something with the glass jar to get an object so that you can "signal" the left door to open.

I agree its a very good game, but it took ages to find and download (due to all the OROW 4 games being the zip file). Perhaps someone should make all the games available to downlaod singularly

red, green, yellow, blue. (if you look at the painting - highest leaf 1st, lowest leaf last.)

Just finished the game.......MAN!! It was really awsum.....One of the best short games on AGS site... although the right door puzzle is a bit tricky, the game is still very well made, all the puzzles make perfect sense... u gotta play it guyz!

to get the black book you need open the gate (by signalling to that flickering light), and you need to burn the block of ice with acid.

Thanks...I gave stone to Dwarf,the left door is oppened.But can'f fugure out next step..How to get conteiner 4acid,i belive Dwarf has to give it to me, but how I have small glass,magnifynig glass and Pickaxe .Any hint ,please..

you have to give the dwarf something else, eg, payment. something you will find behind the painting.
