Hi guys...   DO YOU WANT NEW MONKEY ISLAND REMAKE ...  look at my backgrounds http://www.3dspacek.webz.cz/3dgallery.html
I am looking for somebody who is great in AGS programing and have some game done already. And second person who can make pixel art characters for remake of Monkey Island. I am 3D artist and I have already 25 backgrounds done. I need to make it work in program. But I dont have characters and animation, is there any specialist for this? We can just make a quick demo and we will see, It will be hires 800x600, characters about 150x200. I think joined 3D static pics with 2D cartoon style is the best way. Pls....  write me...   patrikspacek@yahoo.com
Well, are you going to make a completely 3D game or to combine 2D and 3D styles?
No, there is not going to be 3D engine or 3D camera......  just characters

Join Jerk Perkins in his quest to save his kidnapped girlfriend, in this rock-a-billy high school struggle! OR...

You can join ME in my quest to make sure this happens! This is intended to be, not nessecarily ripped off from, but styled graphicly similar to Sam n Max HTR. I have the story moving along fine, and I'm doing okay with AGS itself, but I'm having a terrible time with backgrounds. So at this particular point I'm looking for...

*BG artist. 320x280.
*Help with sprites would be fantastic, but I THINK I can manage. ;)
*Music and sound. I'm not a bad musician, and I could do the music I want on mp3 just fine, but I personally prefer midis here.

I personally think writing's my strong suit, and I really feel strongly about my story and my characters.

If anyone's interested and would like to see it, I've got a good start on the story outline ready.

Everyone's work here is so great, and it'd be a treat to work with any of you. Thanks for reading.

Need help for a dark, atmospheric fairy-tale adventure
« Reply #386 on: 05 Jul 2007, 17:52 »
I'm head of a group of creatives who produce a movie, based on the german fairy-tale "Hänsel und Gretel". As little gimmick and to promote the movie project, we want to make a little adventure in the old Lucas-Arts classic-style which explains the world of the movie to the audience. So the project will use 320X200 - 16Bit. The more positive reactions to the adventure we get the more likely we will think about continouing the game to a full length adventure.

we've got a story and some - in my opinion - awesome concept-drawings but what we don't have ist enough experience with the AGS-script language, animation and programming at all. So we need people who translate the work of our artists into the language of "AGS".

The world in which the adventure is going to play is a kind of industrial-fairy tale. Very dark and atmospheric - thats what we want our game to be.

To give you an idea of what the game will look like - here are two concept drawings of one of our grafic-artists.

what we need is:

1-2 animators,

1 programmer,

1 sound designer,

1 background guy, who adapt the background drawings into AGS.

if you're interested, contact me by PM for further information and more pictures.

I hope the community can help us with this unusual project.

Greetings,

Wingis

Hi, we're searching a programmer in Spanish lenguage.

Wintermute is a adventure game engine like AGS and i don't think you should look for wintermute coder here  :) You know wintermute has its own forums.

I'm currently looking for some avid artists an developers to help join me in creating the first Star Wars adventure game. This project will play out like the sam & max episodic series. The game is called 'Star Wars: Jax Stories'. Each episode progresses the story with a different case, all connected in some devious way.

Clip from the dev blog [LINK]'You control of the character 'Shaden Jax', the best PI on planet Coruscant. Well, at least he thinks he's the best. Little does he know that small clues laid along his long journey of suspense and mystery will uncover a dark Sith secret.

The first episode is titled 'Mystery of the Stone Cold Twi'lek'. In this episode Shaden is hired by a female Twi'lek by the name of Nali Zem. At her disposable she requests you to investigate her sister's untimely demise. As Shaden investigates, he soon finds out that things are going to get worse.

Our goal is to create a episodic series with 2 hours playtime each. As short as they may seem, we hope to be able to satisfy those who love classic adventure games and those who want a perfected episodic gameplan.'

Right now I'm almost done writing out the script for the first episode. After i'm done, we'll begin production.

At the moment, the only visual element I have is the logo.

The game will play out like the lucasarts game 'Full Throttle' where the left mouse button moves the character and the right click brings up the actions wheel which displays various ways to interact.

I also envision cut scenes to be similar to Gabriel Knight, where the action is done through the 2d background and sprites, plus comic book box cells with illustrated animated artwork.

Besides the basic visual features, I want to incorporate mini games like gun fights, car chases, etc.

So to help this innovative dream come true, I'm going to need the help of others.

At the moment these are the following areas that I need filled in:

1-3 Conceptual Artists: Considerable experience here, I need concepts for character designs, weapons, basic environment layouts, objects.

1-2 Graphic Artists: I need graphic designers to create promotional artwork such as posters, and character artwork (Artwork placed with character bios).

1 GUI Artist: A pixel artist who can draw out gui layouts that can be cut up and used for the gui programmer.

1 GUI Programmer: I need the programmer to incorporate the interaction wheel various minigames.

1-2 Background Artists: Preferably digital artists with considerable experience to create 640x400 background art.

1-2 Animators: To start things off I'll need the main character created into sprite form and animated for movement.

1 Sound Effects: Someone who is friendly with star wars sound effects that can supply quality audio to be used in-game.

If you are interested, please either PM me or email me at bradnewsom@gmail.com

A Windowcleaner's Apprentice.
I have a project called "A Windowcleaner's Apprentice".
I've made a few backgrounds and the story is basically complete.
However, some while ago it became apparent that I can't draw people. Especially sprites.

I was hoping to recruit someone to design a Sprite for my main character, Tom.
He's a laid back apprentice window cleaner in his early twenties.  Probably a bit of a stoner.

Here's what I had in mind.

I'd like him to look something like that, but if anyone has any better ideas feel free to change him up as much as you like.

My Games In Production thread was a bit premature and is locked at the moment, but here is the link so you can see a few of my backgrounds and read a bit about the game to get a feel of what the Protagonist would look like.

PM me or email me at stu@toxicsock.co.uk if you are interested.
If anyone wants to go ahead an make a full walkcycle They are more than welcome... infact I encourage it.

Of course, it goes without saying, the person whose Sprite I choose to use will probably be asked to design more characters and will be credited for their efforts.

Indiana Jones and the IRON PHOENIX
Hello everyone!
I'm sure a lot of you know about the game, which could have been the official sequel (well or at least a new game in the series) of Indiana Jones and the FATE OF ATLANTIS. If not, I'll give you a hint: The game was already in production by lucasarts, but was cancelled after a short time and the story was just revealed in a comic-series. Now, not to far time ago, I was wondering, if it wasn't possible, to bring this 320*200 pixel classical point'n click adventure to live as a fanmade game. I think you all know about these great Indy-fangames (e.g Fountain of Youth or Crown of Solomon), this is going to be in the same direction. Well, our team (which isn't to packed right now, just 2 and a half people  Roll Eyes right now) are now in a planning-phase, how and if this could be possible to do. Most importand would be someone, who is a kinda AGS-"Professional" and could help us with the coding-part (as long a we all know a bit of AGS, but now enaugh). Maybe you want to visit our website for some information: http://indygamerz.freehostingnow.com/
Feel free to visit! Well, anyways, here is a sample of the art, that has been done (by me) for the game. These are the Indiana Jones Sprites, we want to use. They've all been done by me, maybe they seem like rip-ups from the Indy-Adventures, but if you give it a closer look, you'll recognize them to be new and never seen before (and it was alot of work!):

If your interested to join the team or just to give some criticts to these sprites, feel free to do so (by sending me a pm). Thanks for reading, Kaioshin

Want to earn some cash? Got a strong art ability? Then let's produce a mini-game & earn some living. The ideal person would be able to cope with drawing & animating for a 10 room game. No experience necessary, but your art skills must be at a very good level. You will also become a Screen 7 team member, and have further oppurtunities to lead our commercial games department. This first venture will earn you at least $5 per sold copy. Suitable to work from home, the quicker the art is ready, the quicker the game is available. 2D prefered but 3D more than welcome if you have a proven ability at rendering highly detailed scenes.

If you're interested, please read: http://www.screen7.co.uk/jobs.htm

I look forward to hearing from you!
