Jpg+Pixel art = Fugly.
Use PNG, otherwise you just get artifacts.

It's looking quite lovely so far, and I do get a beach apartment vibe from the pic.  My only critiques are rather minor and you can choose to ignore it.  Hehe.  First, even taken into consideration of perspective, the closet isn't divided evenly.  I think if you move the center vertical line by one or two pixels, the two halves of the closet will look more even.  Second, the sofa and the end tables look rather small to me.  Since those items closer to the audience, they should be a bit bigger.

Other than that, good job so far and I look forward to seeing the final result.  :D

I like what you have going here.  It's a nice beach apartment scene.  Maybe on the left, where there is just the painting/picture hanging, it seems a bit empty.  You could throw a second couch in there?  You don't have to, but that's the first thing I noticed was the space (since you moved the couch over ^^).

Other than that there's not much to say at this stage of development, looks promising.

I love it!

Just a minor thing though: I'm not very well acquainted with beach apartments, but a big room with nothing but a couch and a cupboard in it seems a little empty.
Or is it a display room for a big expensive painting?

I'm all for keeping it simple, so that explanation is good enough for me.

Man that's dark, Dualnames! Actually, the light shouldn't make that part of the window look brighter, since it's going down in a conical shape.
The colours should fit a suave and sophisticated party ;)

What's that thing on the painting? Looks like a bent penis.

the effect is good especially the sky... but it's in contrast with the rest of the picture

straight line style (and little color palette) don't match with the new coloring style for me
just see the outilne of the balcony to understand what i'm talking about

and even if it wasn't it still is way too high, horizonwise, or at least it gives the impression that there's a huge wave coming forth.

same as my last post, two different style make the bg looks strange to me, maybe you have to delete black outilines, or better recoloring black outline has you did for the sofa but with darker color

and even if it wasn't it still is way too high, horizonwise, or at least it gives the impression that there's a huge wave coming forth.

yes it seems to high but it's the same height, the problem is that it has the black ouline and central window not

That couch looks like a giant twinkie...It has too much going on in order for it to blend with the rest of the scene. I think that the sky looks like it was painted from the edges inward... it just feels unusual. The beach looks like a hill and the water doesn't fade QUITE dark enough to give you an impression of distance, or a horizon. Maybe drop the horizon down a little too.

Other than that it matches the rest of the images I've seen from you game, and it looks quite nice.
All my trophies have disappeared... FINALLY! I'm free!

I think there might be perspective issues with the lines along the ceiling, and top of the cupboard. According to the lines on the floor, the horizon seems ok, height-wise.

The problem with the couch I think, is mainly it's shadow, which makes it appear floating in front of the image. More well-defined shadows in sync with the direction of the light would look better. This also goes for the walls themselves, which all have the same brightness with a darker gradient towards the edges. It's unnatural, but in this image it sortof adds a dreamlike atmosphere.

Colorwise, the yellows are a bit aggressive.

Dropping the black outlines was a good idea.

Keep it up!
