For nearly three years, me and an aspiring artist named Bjornar B have worked on Life of D. Duck II. This game is a celebration of Bjornar's artistic and linguistic abilities, with him dealing with the ingame art and dialogue and me doing pretty much everything else, including interface and menus. Six months after the first game came out, we started working on Life of D. Duck II. Apparently, the first game was the AGS pick of the month in July 2007.

Plot:
D. Duck is a champion. Having won Duckcity (Duckburg) marathon, his only goal left in life is winning the heart of Daisy. When D. Duck comes home with heart medicine for his sick old grandmother, fat Uncle Jubalon arrives at his doorstep. Unable to stop his uncle from breaking into the house, D. Duck is witness to an appetite unlike any other. As his girlfriend flees the scene, she seeks shelter in the loving arms of lucky Cousin Anton (Gladstone Gander). Take control over D. Duck as he struggles to handle his biggest problems yet, and meet up with popular Disney characters such as Uncle Scrooge, Magica De Spell and his three troublemaking nephews.

Whoohoo!
I think I should finish the first part now, but whatever, I'm really glad to see this finished.
Will download...
Robot Porno,   Uh   Uh!

kaputtnik

I'll be jiggered! There goes my concentrated university working week, hooray!
I, object.

Ghost

Ever since I watched DD hop around waiting for the *magical* porridge to brew, I've been waiting for this! I am lookin' forward for my download to finish.

Nice touch to include a cover file- I'd like to see that more often!

Marion

I really enjoyed the first game !
Put this second part in my must-play list :)

Dualnames

At last... well, and while I was beginning to think AGS completed games are a little bit 'resting' BOOM .. 4-5 games this week. And games we've been waiting for.
Worked on Strangeland, Primordia, Hob's Barrow, The Cat Lady, Mage's Initiation, Until I Have You, Downfall, Hunie Pop, and every game in the Wadjet Eye Games catalogue (porting)

I really should play the first one   := And this looks great. The only thing that you should probably fix is the inventory - make it out of paper too, cause it look odd.
Great work!   :D
I am a mighty pirate. Arrrrgh!

This game is EPIC.  I love how the goals keep expanding, even without you actually completing the goals you have.  Things keep getting screwed up.  The graphics and dialog also make me want to barf, but I think it's in a good way, hehe.

Very trippy game.  Also pretty challenging.  Great job!

dude, i gotta give you my congratz, even being simple, it's hard to work with this kind of graphic, also the effect and whole equilibrium of the game is flawless.

or maybe i'm too high... well, anyway i give it a B+
Faster than a doughnut, stronger than cardboard.

This definitely is my kind of game! Wouldn't change a thing.
Just love the cultural critics concealed behind the purposely misspelled dialogs and naive art.

My personal favorite bit: The knocking on cousin Anton's door animation. Don't know why exactly, but I laugh every time!

Thanks for making it!

I can definitely see your point here, but I don't agree with you! ;) Personally I think it looks great, and the reason it's a different colour than the rest of the game is so it wont blend in with the rest of the graphics while opened, while at the same time sticking with the papery-feel of the game. Nothing seems more natural to use than an egg carton for the inventory in a duck themed game. The main menu is also brown carton.

Purposely or non-purposely, it's good to see that some people appreciate the naivity in this game, and that not all are revaulted by the childlike style of it all. Have you looked at the artists' page over at www.bjornarb.com? Style and essence!

Thanks for the feedback so far guys, it means a lot! :)

I am really loving this game! The style is original, adorable and addictive. The animations are great and really bring the game to life. The puzzles are just about right, and the music is excellent. It is also a really solid game with no bugs that I have found. Bravo all round! It really makes me smile and laugh :)

BadlyDrawnGame

Had to post, which is rare for me,  'cos, having been away for a week or so, came here expecting to see a huge queue of people praising this fantastic game and am surprised not to have.

This game is one of the best in AGES to be posted here. The humour is spot-on and I truely enjoyed and savoured every part of it.

I urge everyone to give this a go

This is the most owtradgius fon I've had playing un AGS game in a LONG (long) times. It hassben agis cents I laghed out lowd sevril times only during the first 5 ot 10 minuts of it.

I hated to quit, my eyes are like jelly... me need sleepy.

This game slaps the cat's ass. Excellent job scripting and thinking of the most rediculous things to happen :) I love it.

Grim: "You're making me want to quit smoking... stop it!;)"
miguel: "I second Grim, stop this nonsense! I love my cigarettes!"

Ali

This game was a worthy sequel to the original, one of my favourite AGS games. It was a lot less kind to hamsters, goats, bees, rabbits, eagles and nephews than I was expecting, but I overlooked the animal cruelty because of it's strong environmental and nutritional message... for the kids.

Michael Clayton

The game is awesome! Is it possible to run it on Fedora 12?

Tabata

I confess that I did not believe at first, the game would please me, but I was soooooo wrong!

The motions are made really good and I often had to laugh. The puzzles are well done and I had real fun playing it. :D

Thanks a lot for giving it to us!

Can Fedora 12 run AGS games made in version 2.72? If yes, then yes you can! Perhaps the guys in the tech forum knows?

As mr. Clayton here dug the thread up from the grave, I thought I'd update the thread with a new trailer and a few fan made "let's play" videos:
