Klaus

You remember the MAGS competitions in 2008? All together 32 games entered the contests and offered a great range of amusement, humour and entertainment. To celebrate all the contestants and to bring all those games back to your minds and on your screens again here's "Maggies".

We don't want to judge about best graphics, best character or other best categories - there's already a famous award for doing this. "Maggies" just wants to know what's your favourite MAGS game 2008. It's up to you to decide what's most important: Graphics, gameplay, idea, interpretation of the MAGS rules, whatever...

The voting period will run two long weeks until January 17th.
Take your time to play all the games and decide in the end...

For voting please visit the MAGS site or make your choice right here:

Looking through the list I can onlysay there were many quality MAGS releases this year, yay!

Also, I totally forgot about this thread (being sticky sort of... hides it. Strange, eh? :S)

Gilbert

Unstickied this thread, hopefully make it more obvious to people. :=

Yay, I have two games for which you lovely people can vote!  ISN'T THAT NEAT? :)

All those links come from the MAGS threads, so as far as I'm aware they're the versions that were submitted for MAGS. If anyone's got any missing games mirrored, or wants to reupload their game please post a link!

Eggie

My game can be downloaded from box.net now: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/games.php?action=download&game=1120

I don't THINK they delete files if no-one downloads them in a while.

OneDollar

Added.

...I just noticed most of the games are 1 or 2 MB in size (4.5 max) but the three for October's MAGS are the largest at 7 and a half, 10 and 17 MB. What is it about the Stone Age that attracts big file sizes?

Klaus

Just to remind you all - it's the final countdown now: Only some hours left for voting!

Akatosh

Let's see if I'll make... uh... single digits other than "0"...  :P

Klaus

Time for voting is over now. So here we go with the results of the first big MAGS comeptition of this year.
Interesting effect: For the first days of this voting the thread was kind of hidden in the stickies up top.
A downgrade of the thread to standard (non-)importance made it more attractive... Hm...

Well, Max and Maggie are back on stage and present the winning game of 2008 here.
If you don't want to download about 1MB just switch over to the MAGS site and check
out the winner there (search the whole list for "favourite of the year").

Many thanks to all voting people and of course also many thanks to all last year's MAGS game authors.
