I have a little suggestion for future AGS 3 releases:

I've set my ags up so that the project tree is docked on the left hand side. Is it possible to be able to dock the properties window on the right hand side? Such as:

[ Titlebar ]
[ Menu ]
[ Toolbar]
[ project tree | work area | properties ]
[ status bar ]

I personally feel that the properties panel needs to be a little wider than then game tree panel, and it typically requires more vertical space, so I feel the real state would be more efficient this way because the game tree doesn't need to be as wide as the properties. I've also seen a lot of game tools that are setup this way, with the project tree to the left, and the properties to the right.

I'd be happy with just having the extra option for the properties window in the editor settings, or even having the ability to drag and drop all the ags panels to my own way. However, my radical suggestion would be to actually make this layout the default for future AGS versions. ;)

Ideally the AGS Editor would use some sort of dockable window system like Visual Studio so that you could put windows wherever you wanted, but it's not a priority at the moment.

Yeah, I figured it's low priority, but I might as well suggest this... also, though I could never figure out the visual studio docking, it's pretty bizarre and it feels like the program freezes when it happens.

Also, is that old suggestion/bug tracker for AGS still in existence?

The tracker still exists: http://www.bigbluecup.com/tracker.php

But it's rarely updated with any new information (AFAIK). The comment system was disabled thanks to the Internet being the wonderful place that it is (this is the self-same reason my Spam folder in my email account has 10768 messages in it). I think it wouldn't be too bad if someone wanted to put the tracker into the Wiki and it could differentiate between "Unverified/Suggested", "Pending fix/implementation", and "Fixed/implemented" (for bugs/suggestions respectively of course).

I actually suggested it to CJ a long time ago and he said he didn't know what the best course of action would really be. His focus of course has been on the editor itself (with good cause)...but having some way of keeping all of this in an up-to-date, organized place would be very good.
Let's be honest. Most people suck at coding. I suck at coding, but at least my code is readable. To Hell with anyone too lazy to maintain consistent formatting in their code. I could deal with bad interfaces and structure if I could even read your horrible code. And that's putting it nicely. -monkey

I like the idea of placing elements where you want and then saving that configuration so AGS will automatically load up with it, something like Pro Motion does with having all the controls as separate windows you can drag and rescale and then save the layout as default.  This would allow me to give certain areas greater screen priority than others.
