Escape From The Chaotic City

The Description:

Eddy, enjoys living his way, drinking tons of soda and resting all the day..
But today, the life of this fan of horror movies will turn into a nightmare.
Something breaks into the silence of his messy room, attacking him from behind...
It bites him...and his knowledges about movies, tells him that something wrong is going on...

Armed just with a bat and courage, this idle teen has to turn into a hero..in one night...
But outside, on those desolates streets of Portland, the terror was released,
the TV hasn't any broadcast, the telephones are out of order...
A letal disease is running through his veins...it's a time race...

Escape from the chaotic city shows a scene of chaos and terror...
Where the government doesn't appear and the police are gone...

Bug spotted.

In the bar, after speaking with the one-legged ex cop, I take the oil, the lighter then the cloth ... In inventory I try to combine the lighter with the cloth , the game displays "I can't combine ... " then freezes, I clicked everywhere and press keyboard keys, I cant get rid of it

( infinite loop ? )
Working on my games ! AGAIN ! More information soon.

I'm playing this one now. I must say, graphics are ok, sounds ... ok but execution isn't my style. I'm missing a lot of interaction with objects or people. I can't skip dialogs? It's quite annoying. When text goes too fast, it's not good but I'd like to read it in my own pace and now I have to wait quite a lot.

A lot of actions are done for me and the actions I want to take, are not what I'm used to. I talk to people by walking up to them? And the story itself...  it doesn't really hold my attention from the start..  maybe when I progress a bit more.

The interface is alright, clear and easy to use although I missed the 'talk' option. Not everything is solved with violence?
All in all a bit chaotic but... I think that was intended ;-)
A good one for a first game, looking forward to your progress in the next one.

[edit]
Any reason why the compass rose on the main view is upside down in the first few screens? Other screens have it rotated correctly.

A very promising first game!  A few odd things I've run into:

1.  Clicking the attack button should be enough to attack with whatever weapon shows up in your weapon slot.  Instead, you have to click on attack AND then the weapon.  I got chewed up a few times figuring this out.

2.  If you try using the lighter on the molotov it breaks the game into an infinite loop of Eddy saying 'I can't do that'.  This actually happens with any items that don't combine so it's something you definitely need to fix.  I've had to quit and load a game about 4 times because of it so far.

Overall I think you've done quite well for a first effort, nice work!

That's why you can't skip dialogs...
Whatever Eddy says in the inventory can't be skipped...And I don't know why..
But now I've fixed it...And I'm waiting for new Errors so I can add them to EFTCC 1.1

Keep posting ;D

Hi,

I just completed the game, and i have to say that i like it.

I like the plot and story, graphics are ok, musics are suited well with the game, and the puzzles are quite well spotted.

Few bugs found, and the interaction might not be the best, but I still manage to complete the game without any problems (i play the first version, the one without talk button, skip dialog, bugs mentioned by others, etc.).

I am sure the new version will have a better gameplay

Seems like a lot of efforts in making this game, well done!!

I've a question:

How many rates do I need to have my game in the main page?  ???

Not sure what you mean. If you're referring to the "Most Popular..." listing, it's based on how many times your game has been downloaded. Some people try to artificially increase their download count by repeatedly clicking on the link, but we can spot when this happens and these people are...DEALT WITH!

If you're talking about "Pick of the Month", that's up to SSH.

If you mean how many ratings does your game need before it's awarded a rating percentage, then I'm not sure. I think it's...five?

Yeah, I don't really ever get my hopes up for ratings. (If you're talking about cup ratings?) They get to it when they do, just have patience. I made a game back in January that's still under 'newly added games' for now.
