AGS works great with wine, so could try Winebottler for Mac
http://winebottler.kronenberg.org/

But there is no recent native port.

AGS games are fully supported by  Crossover Games by codeweavers for the mac,

Not 'fully' heh, I have Crossover and Crossover games. Palette support doesn't work, neither do a lot of module based games. Also the editor works pretty well but when it comes to compiling the games becomes very slow on my macbook pro. Full screen support is buggy as hell too.

I think Wine or Parallels are your best bet.
