Error: start-up of AGS editor (v 3.1.2 sp1)

I recently discovered (within the last few weeks) the following error message pop-up whenever I attempted to load the AGS editor.



This problem is recent as I was able to load the AGS editor without problem back in April/early May.

I've already run my machine (I'm using win xp) through a total virus check (came out clean), as well as reinstalling the version I had, & downloading a new version of 3.1.2 sp1 as well as 3.2 Final 5.  None of this has worked as I still get the error message above whenever I try to load the editor.

Looks like something has become corrupt in the registry.

Run REGEDIT, and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adventure Game Studio
Delete the "AGS Editor" key there.

That should fix the problem, but you will lose all your preferences so you'll have to go back into the File -> Preferences dialog and set it back up afterwards.
