Ok here is another clue, the lead character is acted by a person who is not usually known for acting, and the main supporting role is also acted by a person who is not usually known for acting, however both in their other professional lives are incredibly famous.

Ahhhh, retrospectively the hints are quite obvious, especially the vault door with the "Emerald City" inside.

I've never seen the movie, but it looks like quite a trippy one. Will have to check it out.
