Step 1 Hint:

You need two objects: one is science-y, one not so much.

Step 1 Solution:

Go to the science lab and get the probe and the banana.

Step 2 Hint:

Now you need to attack the guard, but you need an armed weapon.

Step 2 Solution:

Combine banana with probe, use it on the guard.

I'm stuck too--but earlier in the game unfortunately:

I have the cheetah blood and the carrot, and have managed to blast the alarm with the laser (using the mirror), but still cannot get out the door because of the cross.

Complete spoilers welcome, please help!

Hey SarahLiz   

Notice magnets on the fridge are letters.  Take magnets, and use them on the crucifix above the door.  This forms the word 'EXIT', and transforms the deadly crucifix into a harmless 'T'.

I am stuck here as well. I have cheetah blood and carrot. Looks like the post below yours is talking about something later int he game. Perhaps I am missing an item?

It seems to me, you are not at the sunlight, but at the ultraviolet light - if so:

Hint 1

You need to give yourself more colour, to survive walking through the UV light.  Now what has a lot of colour in it?

Hint 2

Eat the carrot by using it on yourself.

Sorrry to reopen this thread after such a long time, (is that not done? If so: sorry, I won't do it again)
But, I'm now stuck elsewhere in the game:

My probe has the umbrella, how do I manage to get hold of it?

BTW I totally dig this game!
