I'm on a verge of tears here, my PC just got a virus for no reason, it must have been there, hiding and growing, and right this moment, it spread through all drives in mere seconds, it destroyed my anti-virus guard, and is right now eating things at random and i can't do a damn shit about it! The avg is just goin' slow as always, and doesn't detect shit, avira detected some infections but there are more and more every second, and avast doesn't detect a thing! I don't have internet connection on pc, i didn't bring any new stuff on my usb recently, but it's all there, damnit i hate my pc! I will try to put some uninfected stuff on games in progress, i will not give up! Once i go to my friend, i'm posting everything i can, i will save as much as i can so i can continue developing somewhere else.

Really sorry you got a virus.

I can't fix what you've already lost, but can I suggest Bullguard to get rid of it, and stop it doing any more damage.

A computer virus doesn't sit there and suddenly go off like a physical might. You must have done something.
(Unless it's coded to go off at a set date, which seems unlikely from your description.)

Get the latest Malwarebytes from a friend, boot Windows in safe mode and install it and run a quick scan. It should get rid of whatever you got.

Sucks that you got a virus, but these things don't come out of nowhere. If there's not an internet connection on the computer then it would seem that at some point you introduced the infected files. Please do not distribute anything that is on your computer. Seriously, I don't care if you don't think it's infected. Make a backup if you want, but don't upload anything. That's precisely how viruses get spread around.

Regarding your AV programs not detecting anything, do you have more than one installed? Or did you just try installing other ones after you already encountered the problem? Coz if you already had the virus then it's probably corrupted your system to the point that a newly installed AV program isn't going to function properly anyway, and if you were running multiple AV programs simultaneously (even if you weren't running them, but just had them installed simultaneously) that is known to cause problems with their ability to properly detect infected files.

If Malwarebytes doesn't fix it (depending what you actually have, you might need a lot more than just that), then I'd highly recommend you check out the Spyware Hell section at the Piriform forums. There's some people there who deal with virus removal on a regular basis, and they can help you recover even a heavily infected system.

The virus, it came from my usb data traveler, D': I'm just saving some stuff that i hope can't be infected. Can .ags , .dta , .spr , .spr , .ttf , .agsgame , .dat , .crm , .mid , .wav and picture files be infected? My avs scaned one after other, i tried system restore and it failed and the antis are now as usefull as a castrated scrotum. My only escape is save uninfectable items and reinstall the system.

A virus usually infects mostly exe files. They can't infect an XML or plain text file, for example.

Btw, you're showing another clear Icey trait: selective answering. As soon as a comment or question is even mildly uncomfortable (like this very paragraph), you simply ignore it entirely. Just sayin'.

I could be wrong, but virus tend to infect .exe and .dll files. It's not the end of the world, get yourself an external hard drive and backup everything you can salvage. Format your computer, re-install windows, install a good antivirus (personally I reverted from bloated Kaspersky to the free version of Avast and I'm not having any problems, but surely there's better antivirus softwares out there), and the next time you plug in your external HD, don't copy anything from it, don't open anything on it, just scan it, a custom scan, at maximum setting, with all the most time consuming options checked, and let it scan your external HD. I've been doing this since 2004. A virus ain't the end of the world, a total hard drive crash due to lightning storm however...

blueskirt's right. I'm pretty sure that Khris also uses/recommends avast! Home Free. As do I. But even the most hardcore antivirus program won't protect you if you're not using it properly. You don't have to set it to the point that it steals all your system resources (like AVG or Norton do), but if you're transferring something from another computer, it's always a good idea to scan those files specifically before you actually run them.

Tango down! Woohoo! I reinstalled my sys and now the game is in progress again, i've posted an artwork done in mspaint, and some screens on the Crimson bath part 1 games in progress page. However, i accidentally put links instead of pics, so a guy locked the thread 'till i can do something about it,and since i don't have net on PC and i don't even know when will i visit my friend again, who lives out of town, about 20km apart, but when i do leave, i will repair it, for now if you want, go to the links, screen capture the pics and paste them in mspaint. Then cut them out if you want, and enlarge them.

Hey! The thread is unlocked, you can see the screenies and post your comments and stuff, just go to the games in progress page and clickie on Crimson bath.

EDIT:Riddles will be answered... When the game is done, basically Crimson bath is called like that, because people misteriously dissapear and are found in bathtubes, filled with their own blood...MWAHAHA!

Dude, at least 2 people can fit in a bathtube.One one on top of eachother, if you know what i mean. Unless the persons in question are skinny as hell. But anyway there is a small two floor house where a couple of girls live.Our brave team of engeneers ends up there accidentally (another Nocturnal Illusions idea) and they make them feel like home, let them sleep over and stuff, but they don't know that the house is haunted by a psycho ghost that enters their dreams and pulls them into the dream world one by one.
