the end of the year draws near. So this fortnight's BBlitz topic is

THE END OF THE ...

Make a background that shows some kind of end. Some ideas: the end of the year, the track, the road, a life, the world, the show, the game etc. etc.

To be honest, during Christmas time I wouldn't have worked on a background neither

This needs a lot more love but the deadline has stolen my time so here you go:

The end of the.. trail

I had planned to mock up a HUD at the bottom and some characters but I ran out of time. You would play a wolf and in this room you find a hunter's footprints in the snow, leading to where he is hiding in the tree.

It's very rough around the edges, I know, but as my first attempt painting in greyscale then colorizing the image, i'm very pleased with the result. I'll continue working on it this weekend hopefully=D

Idea - DrewCCU - I like this end of the road idea, wouldn't seem out of place in a Road Runner cartoon
Atmosphere - gameboy - (top picture) - beautifully bleak landscape, lovely sky
Design - DrewCCU - great layout and colours
Composition - straydogstrut - spooky and effective!
Functionality - gameboy - I can easily see this background working in an adventure game
Technique - gameboy - while I liked the others, they didn't look quite finished (as the artists admitted themselves) - gameboy's looked like the finished article (well, before he added that person and car...  )
