So...

I guess I'm back...if you'll have me?

About 6-7 years ago (wow, has it really been that long?) I was an active member of this community. Then I suddenly vanished without a trace.
So what happened? In retrospect it's quite clear to me that I had a breakdown of sorts. I totally imploded. Partly due to personal issues and partly due to external things like losing my job and then getting evicted from my appartment (no money, no rent).
It took me a while to get back on my feet and even longer to figure out how to keep upright. For the last 6-12 months I've been itching to come back to the forums, but I didn't know if I was ready to get involved again. Making games can be a time and energy consuming affair, as I am sure I don't need to tell you guys. ;)

...and I have dreaded writing this post. I left a lot of people hanging. For that I am deeply sorry.

So for better or worse, I'm back in the game! New and improved Yoke 2.0!

Welcome back, did you bring the old FoY demo source code with you?  := Only joking, just glad you're well - despite calling you and sending mails, we thought you'd died or something... Good to know you didn't and you've picked yourself up from tougher times!

The perspective looks a little tight on the middle one, but overall it's a very nice and clean style that would look fantastic in a game - get to work. ;)

@m0ds: Actually I have the old source around here somewhere... Nice to see you again, and thanks! :)

@Darth: Hey! Yeah those images ring a bell. They're from the second game I started but never finished because I had more backgrounds than story.  :P

@Ryan: Yeah, that background never worked, but in fairness it was the first background I did on that project and maybe the first one I made with two point perspective. I need to brush up on my art skills again, so I guess I'll be trolling CL a bit in the time to come...

Man, we clocked some serious hours chatting on MSN. I genuinely thought you were dead, or locked up, or with the FBI.

I've missed you too!
Never got your mails. Didn't check my mail, didn't answer the door, didn't answer the phone and hardly left the house for about a year after I vanished.  Dark days indeed...  :-\

The FBI? Must have been the X-files in that case.

Are you on FB? I want to know what you've been up to for the last years! :D
