Topic: Import new sprites (NOT RESPONDING) ; hangs up suddenly

hi.. i recently do have a problem in importing sprites as objects because when the import new sprite window will pop up, and then when i finally choose the sprite i want, my engine  will suddenly hang up for unknown reasons, and then engine will have the "Not Responding" message on the title bar. It will then require me to close the engine and restart again. when i'm refreshing the engine, the same problem is repeating all over again. How will i fix this?  Do you have any idea on what's going on?

Sounds like the sprite file got corrupted.

1. Make a backup of the game folder immediately.
2. Delete acsprset.spr, then rename backup_acsprset.spr (remove the "backup_" part).
3. Cross your fingers

Just out of interest;- How many sprites do you have in that folder? Based on experience with an old laptop, AGS can struggle to bring up the sprite manager if you've loaded too many in one directory.

If Khris' solution doesn't work, try shifting some of them into subfolders and try again.

i already did what Khris told me but still it doesn't work...Maybe it's because of the old laptop that i'm using.
