Okay, I defeated the robbers and got the invitation. I also extinguished the BBQ and turned the kitty black. Now I'm stuck again.

I'm stuck earlier:

I lit the barbecue and the magazine, the sprinkler is on, but it looks like smoke or steam. Got the chocolate.
I also have the DVD player and a DVD and I'm pretty sure I need to somehow play back the DVD on the monitor by fiddling with the stuff on the roof.
Can't do anything to the robbers.

You need to defeat all three robbers. Try talking to them, see if you can figure out any weaknesses. Don't forget, Nancy has a special ability you can put to use... You're also on the right track with the DVD, you might need something from the tool box the robbers put on the counter in the convenience store.

Answer:

Ah, my bad. You don't need to worry about the DVD until the robbers move to a different location. They'll get out of the bathroom when you have assembled the fuel for the car. You need to talk to the geek outside and find out what he wants in exchange for his fuel machine(you may have to ask the "guy" in the gas station about him first to unlock the dialog). The grill will be useful to help the geek out. Then you have to gather a few different ingredients for the fuel, of which one is picked up in an.. unconventional container you could say which got me stuck for a while.

Suffice to say, the shop has those windows there to stop the horrible smell of exhaust fumes that the cars make. It can be deadly, y'know!

Btw, I replayed the game just now -- and found a weird little bug:

I took some blood using the empty bottle BEFORE I found the invitation. Later on, when I was about to save the virgin by replacing the three items, I noticed the bottle was empty again -- and even though Nancy could take more blood, more than once, it kept appearing as empty in the inventory and Nancy wouldn't use it to replace the juice. Hm...

It's nothing big, it probably happened only because I did things in the wrong order this time -- and I finished the game without any problems the first time around.

This is kind of embarrassing, I guess.  I'm stuck pretty much at the first puzzle.  I'm trying to

figure out how to make the grass appear like "grass".  I've got the stuff from the trunk, the stuff from behind the counter, and the DVD player.  I don't actually know what marijuana would look like, so I've been just randomly trying to use everything there is on everything there is, which hasn't been as successful as I'd like. . .
