I've thrown a couple of my old games into the games area.  In particular I think Ace Duswell still stands up pretty well.  At some point I'll try recompiling with a more current version of AGS.  http://68.58.139.216/ is all I've got for now.  I have a URL possibility coming up in a month.  A couple of firsts: the first non-adventure game (Shooting Gallery), the first fighting engine (RPG Demo)  and arguably the first full-length adventure (Tale of Roland) as it came out shortly afer Visi Quest. :o

Gilbert

Are they the same version as the old ones?

Since I never get shooting gallery to work, I'll try it if it's recompiled.

Greg Hurst

Nope, it's the exact same version.  I ran it on a Win2k and a 98 system today without any problem though.

Gilbert

Oh then I'll just wait if you will recompile them with newer version.

GREGGGG! Good to hear from you again. I hope you will be sticking around a little while longer and making some more creations with AGS.

Even if you dont, ITS GREAT TO HEAR FROM YOU.

NEWBIE ALERT: Greg is an AGS Legend.

Hey WB Greg...I remember trying out the RPG demo and was amazed that someone did that in AGS. Ags has been added to quite a bit (which I am sure you know) Stick around and try the new stuff out...Would rock to see some new stuff from yah.

Quickstrike

Greg, have you downloaded the newest version of AGS?  Alot of people 9including me) have XP now.  You can just move the source files to a new version and create the WIN file.  I hope I can play your game soon.

Greg was using some really old version of AGS when creating his games, hope he won't need to change much things to make them to work with newer versions.

Pumaman

Blimey, good to see you again after all this time Greg. Good stuff :)

Greg Hurst

So far I've downloaded the newest version of AGS and have found it pretty comfortable.  Currently I'm going to port Tome of Legend (a later release of RPG Demo), but have run into a couple things slowing me down.  If I can import CHA files and get it to automatically change them over to 640x480 though I'll be in good shape.  I still have some stuff left from Tale of Roland 2 I can work with as well.  Other than that I might recompile Shooting Gallery, but it seems like doing some of the larger games would take forever.  I've played a little bit of the KQ remakes and QFG V1/2 or whatever and was pretty impressed.  I emailed the Hero6 people though and they never got back to me (ingrates).

Ben

Just my luck. I leave for two days and Greg fecking Hurst comes back while I'm gone ;)

I remember when I first saw your RPG demo. It's still one of the most complex things I've seen scripted in AGS, even after all this time.. I have not idea what to expect form you now :)
