Unlock iPhone without erasing data?

Does anyone know if there is any way at all to have a key code removed from an iPhone without having all the data erased?
My father had an iPhone but none of us know what his key code was, and we would like to access his iPhone without erasing all the data so we could get any pictures etc off there.

Peder,

The best (and safest) way is to go to an apple store, explain the story and see what they can do for you (remove the security code).

You can't connect properly to i-tunes with a locked pc.
There seems to exist tricky ways to remove a code but if that works, you have the risk of getting the iphone reset to original mode, in other words, dataloss...

Thanks so much for the reply Arj0n, however I found the iPhone boxes and within there were papers from the network provider with codes where he had written down his keycode <3.
