I have just bought myself an entire new computer rig, down to the desk and chair as well. Feeling smug about it. It's an ALIENWARE as well, so teenage me is having an excited fit. This beast: http://www.dell.com/uk/p/alienware-x51-r2/pd?oc=d00ar211&model_id=alienware-x51-r2
Default setup, but I've got two monitors on the way these bad boys. http://accessories.euro.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&sku=609020

It's more money than I've ever spent on a computer myself, but I saved up money from my 30th birthday, and some other bits and bobs til I could afford my dream rig, including an awesome Logitech G13 Advanced Gameboard (my husband has one, and it makes him much better than me on World of Warcraft, so I had to get one to beat him!!)

I also started an adventure gaming blog... http://adventuregamegirl.blogspot.co.uk/

The template and stuff needs more faffing with but apparently I've forgotten most of the HTML I learnt.

No real point about this than just wanted to boast to people who knew what I was on about. Hee! It also means I'll have a rig I can do some decent graphics on, finally. On the laptop I'm using right now, it gets unhappy just using ArtRage sometimes :-X

Ah yes, the X51. The new Steam machine profile. They're nice boxes. I don't know if they compare favourably to a cube, cost-wise, but they're worth it for the look.

Very nice monitors. I approve of the aspect ratio. In terms of monitors, Dell is ehh... not quite NEC or Eizo, but still good.

The Shivah review was nicely written. I hope to read more reviews in the future!

Got myself some fairly nice bits - Sabertooth 990FX R2 etc. - but the motherboard appears to be faulty, grrr. Going to have to get it replaced, least it's under warranty.

I mainly went Alienware purely for the "OOH SHINY" factor. I really am that shallow for this.

Thanks for the feedback on the review. I'm just putting one up about Broken Age in a moment :)

Faulty motherboard? Ugh, that's a pain. I have to admit I flaked and got a default build so I didn't have to think of compatibility of a custom rig. I feel like a fraud for doing it, but I couldn't be doing with things not working together once I got them home.

@faerieevenstar I've tried twice to enter your blog. And both times my antivirus did not let me and found a Trojan virus and quarantined it. I don't know how or why that happens, but just letting you know or warning the others.

Woah, that's not good!! Thanks for the warning. I wonder if it's one of the ads? I have ad-blocker on my computer so I don't see any ads, but I'm pretty sure there are some included in the template because I got it for free. Can you give me any more info? My anti-virus isn't spotting anything... So sorry about that 8-0

I use ESET NOD32 antivirus program. Like I said, I've no clue why that happens. Maybe it's just my antivirus?

Ohhh my monitors and mouse have arrived. Not much use on their own, but so pretty and awesome *drools*

But are the chair and desk nice?
