Thoughts so far....

Spoiler
"Any man" could be a common name, like Joe.  "Out of their prime" implies fat, unfit or old (I don't get a "not yet in their prime" vibe).  "Accepting a lack of energy" definitely means subtracting an "e" from something (chemical equation symbol for energy).  "Which saturates their being" probably refers to the E or E's that appear in or throughout the resulting name/word (and must be subtracted).  The most literal phrase to be saturated is "their being" itself, which gives us "thirbing", but that doesn't seem to be on the right track.  So... Joe + old - e = joold :P

Once again I will bold the parts on the right track and cross out the parts that are off-track:

CaptainD

So joold is both on the right track and off-track?!?! :P

Spoiler
Any man = Male?  Out of their prime = Old?  Since there are so few letters in the answer are we looking for initial letters of five words maybe?  "if they did not first accept" = the order of the letters in the word perhaps?

Bolded/Crossed out again:

Haha....good catch on the bolded word...Fixed...

So with that hint above I realize it is now possible to brute-force the answer, but this is not necessary. There is a way to solve the puzzle without brute-force and actually finding this method is the real puzzle, not the answer itself, so I hope there won't be too much brute-forcing ;)

Mandle

Very small hint:
Spoiler
A hint at the method of solving the puzzle is hidden in the wording of the puzzle itself...

Any man could be out of their prime if they did not first accept the lack of energy which saturates their being. (5)

Spoiler
It's like a plot arc: first accept, energy which, prime if, lack of, out of = awioo!

Sorry, but no.

Spoiler
the lack of energy which saturates their being could be darkness? :-\

Nope...

Mandle

Another small hint:
Spoiler
Finding the method to solve the puzzle involves a little word-play, but applying the method to the puzzle involves none. So yeah, the "cryptic" part is only in finding the method...

A slightly larger hint:
Spoiler
There is no use of synonyms involved.

Hints will get slightly bigger and bigger over the weekend if everyone is still stumped ;)

Out of their prime:
Prime numbers, 1, 3, 5,7,11,13,17,19,23
Corresponding letters; a, c, e, g, k, m, q, s, v
Any man - energy.
Without these letters : nynnry!
Only these letters: amaeeg?? A Game E???
I think I'm on the wrong track .

You are a genius for figuring out what you have so far:

GETTING SO CLOSE!!!

But...
Spoiler
Your Prime numbers list is flawed:

HERE IS THE PRIME NUMBERS LIST

And here is the reason why "1" cannot appear on the prime number's list:

You are however 100% correct that "out of their prime" is the correct method to decode the rest of the puzzle...

There are those who believe that life here began out there...

Mandle

I too always thought that 1 was a prime number (as it seems to fit the criteria) until recently when I looked up the list for an unrelated reason. In fact I'm pretty sure that we were taught in school that it was the first prime number, which makes me wonder if it has been expelled from the list in more recent years, joining Pluto in the Hall Of Shame for ousted scientific principles...

Anyways...Some feedback:
Spoiler
The reasoning so far is solid, but the method is not quite right. But soooooo close...

Very funny Cassiebsg, so is it Merge? Is that AGS related??

Mandle

No...the answer is not "Merge"...

Haha...no...
ahh damn. That explains why I couldn't really get it to fit the clue other than the fact that e m c s q are all in that list of prime letters.
