Hi

I am having problems running games in full screen though it is ok in preview window.

I am using win7.

I am trying to run 800 x 600 16 color.

my graphics adapter states standard vga and neither dd or d3d work for full screen and are shown not available in dxdiag.

Have you come across this and did you manage to sort it?

Cheers

640x400 full screen works okay in Win7 for me - I sometimes have issues with other resolutions.

What happens exactly? Any error messages?

Also, please confirm that you downloaded DX installer utility from this link and run it:

I just want to be sure that you tried this, because it supposed to update both DX9 and DX11 to latest version automatically.

Hi

yes, i downloaded  DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer.

Tried Installed it. Says newer version detected,

Game in full window shows game window outline box but screen black..

I do not get any messages except if trying to use d3d / filters.

EDIT I managed to find out on the motherboard what the display adapter was: it was SiS Mirage. I got hold of SiS Mirage display drivers, installed them 'update driver' and the standard VGA is now Sis Mirage and the game runs full screen.

DD,D3D and AGP texture now all enabled..

I've lost 3 days work, what the hell... rock on tommy...

Happy days.. well, so far (laugh)
