Help: brightness with slider.

hello guys, i want to make a slider to change the screen brightness but with System.gamma doesn't work in windowed mode and most of all doesn't work on Windows 8.1.
Any solution?

Gamma can't be changed in Windowed mode. As far as Windows 8.1 goes, you can't change gammma on fullscreen mode either. The code works fine but doesn't show any actual change. As discussed in the previous thread, this happens due to Windows update for both Windows 7 and Windows 8, apparently. LostTrainDude, however, removed updates but to no avail. Gamma still doesn't change, even when the code is right.

I've Windows 7 32-bit with few updates installed. Gamma change works for me. I also made a video which demonstrates that Gamma change does work for me.

Sadly, you're not alone. Nor AGS is the only program which got affected.
