Robin Hood Prince of Thieves probably doesn't hold up as well now, but I absolutely loved that film as a kid. Alan Rickman's portrayal of the Sheriff of Nottingham was brilliant, so many quotable lines (and we quoted them a lot in my house).

For me, Rickman has always been "Snape" from the Harry Potter series. I believe the primary reason why I like this character is because of the Rickman's excellent portrayal.
