Author Topic: Free Music Resource for Your Games - Over 1200 Tracks  (Read 22294 times)

Hi everyone,

I've created over 1200 tracks of music and soundscapes that you can use freely in your games. It's all original...all my own work. All I ask is to be credited as indicated on my homepage:

http://soundimage.org/

I sincerely hope my tracks are helpful. Any and all feedback is welcome and always appreciated. :)

All the best,

Eric

I second that, providing such a huge library is an incredibly generous move. Thanks for sharing your music, and making it available for free! I'm partial to the fantasy/nature tracks; there's some great stuff there!

Will definitely be looking into this - thank you so much!

Just to confirm - you are granting free use in commercial as well as freeware games?

You're very welcome...and yes, my tracks are free to use in commercial games as well as freeware as long as you credit me properly as detailed on my homepage.

Enjoy!

This is great, as I'm currently working on a project (http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=52586.0) and I have been thinking of adding music to the game for a long time! I haven't listened to all tracks yet, but what I've heard so far sounds great and I hope to use some in my game! Besides, it'd be nice to have a name other than my own in the credits! ;)

Hi Eric!

Thanks for providing such great music!

The license is a bit complicated for me to understand. If I use one of your tracks in a game - is it enough to credit you in the end credits and add a link to your homepage? Or do I have to do anything else?

You're very welcome...please feel free to share your game if you wish...I love to see how creative people are using my music!

As for crediting me, here's how to do it (taken from my homepage)...

If you are using only my music, and not that of another artist(s) then on your credits screen write:

Music by Eric Matyas

www.soundimage.org

If you are using my music as well as that of another artist(s) then you need to identify which tracks are mine and credit me, for example:

“Invasion of the Giant Disco Ants”

“Too Quiet”

“Mayhem”

by Eric Matyas

www.soundimage.org

I hope that clarifies things. :)
