Forum problems (perpetual loading) in Firefox

I'm actually using Waterfox which is a 64-bit firefox variant, but I'm in windows 7.  Basically some threads in the forums will be perpetually loading, in other words, it will never time out.  This results in some parts of the thread pages not to finish loading.  If I use internet explorer or chrome or something, usually it results in stuff like broken image links, but in those browsers it tends to just time out.

So for example this page - https://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=53367.0 -- the two screen shots that are supposed to appear underneath the youtube video, won't load up in Waterfox, but it will load up fine in Chrome.

Anyone having any other problems like this?

They load fine in pure Firefox...  Which is no help of course, but we can't really do much about people using non standard browsers encountering non standard behaviour!

I'm attesting on the endless loading, on pure Firefox when using uBlock adblocker. It comes from a Javascript or something local to www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk that seems to try endlessly to access something 1k times a second at most.
Checking the console with F12, "jquery.markitup.js" looks like to be softlocked. EDIT: Apparently it depends, so maybe not the one responsible.

As I was finishing writing this, uBlock blocked the queries 124k+ times.

EDIT : Ah ! I just discovered that when the site is whitelisted, the Facebook button at the top appears; when not whitelisted, the Facebook button is not appearing, and any page on the website is endlessly loading, sometimes eating a lot of bandwith. Not sure if related.

Easy solution then: whitelist this domain!  We don't load anything suspicious, and the Facebook and Twitter links are only links, they don't offer any dynamic data that actually accesses those sites (unless you click the links).

I have all my addons disabled, and in fact did a new clean profile, and still have the same problem.

Anyone know what I could do to figure this out?

Just tested waterfox on linux and there are no issues loading the page you mentioned there..
Is it possible something is messing up for you due to loading the forum over https://?

Try loading it just over http:// instead: http://www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk/forums/index.php
