Keep it coming!
CASE # 27:
As she realised the little bell ringing nearby, she greatly terrified but stopped crying immediately.
Seconds later she starts laughing full of joy, running away as fast as possible.
What happened?

Yes
Was the bell an alarm bell?
Was she a human?
my 'present' for you: Did someone die? (kind of)
Was the alarm still on while she was laughging?
Is the alarm outside?
Does cry mean tears ran down her cheeks?

No
Was the "little bell" from a phone ringing?
Was she a teacher or student and the bell rang to end school?
Was the bell a doorbell?
Was the bell a wind-chime?
Was she having a nightmare when her alarm clock woke her up and, realizing it had been just a dream, she ran from her bedroom laughing?
Was the girl sleeping?
Was the bell an alarm clock?
Was she having a bad dream?
Is she a child?
Did she cause the alarm bell to ring?
Was she a teller in a bank?
Did the alarm cause a shutter to come down?
Did she run away with the cash the robbers had demanded?
Was the alarm bell a burglary alarm?
was the alarm bell a fire alarm?
was the alarm bell from a slot machine or other gambling device?
Did someone die?
Is the reason she is crying related to the alarm?
Was the bell in a business?
Was the bell in a home?
Was the bell used to start a race?
Is the alarm in a school?
Is the alarm bell automated? (does it not require someone to ring the bell?)
Is this a church bell?
Does cry mean she was shouting?
Does this make any difference? (not in the event itself that is to discover)

Keep it coming!

selmiak

The alarm came from a fireworks factory that was burning, then she saw the fireworks explode and was happy but better off to run away ;-D

Mandle

Is she a character in a story?
Could this take place in the real world?
Is she Tinkerbell?

Is hypnosis involved?
Does she have any mental problems?
Was she some kind of prisoner?

Riaise

Did the ringing of the bell signal that someone was nearby?
Was she happy because someone was nearby?
Did she run towards the sound of the bell?

Mandle

Been a while since an update so I'm gonna ask 3 more questions if that's cool:

Was the bell the alarm of a home security device?
Did she fear that her home was being invaded?
Did she see that the "home invader" was actually a loved-one?

dayowlron

I am pretty sure the answer to those last 3 will be no cause she answered no to "Was the bell in a home?" and "Was the alarm bell a burglary alarm?" and "Is the alarm bell automated?"

My question:
Was she crying cause she was hungry and this was the dinner bell?

  Did she believe in angels?

btw.
After giving those two questions:
QuoteDid the ringing of the bell signal that someone was nearby?
Was she happy because someone was nearby?
...   a 'Yes' I feel the need to inform you that both of them - taken by the word - needed to be sorted into the 'No'-list because they aren't precise enough.
So just not to make it even harder to solve the case I placed it where it is.

You are thinking the correct direction with these and some of the latest questions from the 'No'-list.

Did the ringing of the bell signal that something was nearby?
Was she happy because something was nearby?
Was the alarm bell on some kind of vehicle?

Tabata

Pe-information (since I am not at home)
all 3 = no

(You changed the two questions - add something to the original versions instead  ;) )

Mandle

Did the ringing of the bell signal that someone in particular was nearby?
Was she happy because someone in particular was nearby?
Was the "someone" nearby friend or family to her?

Cassiebsg

I beg to disagree that believing in angels is irrelevant...  :P Never heard of the "every time a bell rings an angel gets it's wings?" saying?   (wtf) So, I'll guess it's a no on that one.  (laugh)

Was the bell attached to a gate?
Was the person that "ringed" the bell her husband?

Keep it coming!

*nearly the same prob than before, sorry
It is missing an attribute to make it a helpful (and for this case meaningful) questions, but of course you are unable to know that without some more of the background information and I can't help more on this since it would give it all away.
At a specific point of solving the case you will understand my big problem with those but for now it might be easier to concentrate on other unrevealed facts to get in from the other side.
There are several ways you investigators will stumble over some heavy clues.

You don't know how much I agree with you on the first part, buuut ... if I placed that to yes or no it whould kill the case totally
You will understand it soon … ;)

Stuck? No clue what direction to go? If you want a hint:
Spoiler
Find out about that little bell is the main aspect - as already stated correct - but it's also the most difficult to start with.
Much easier is to take it from other directions - for example if you find out the place she is or try to figure out what I gave you for a present are two possible ways that could make it all fall into place in a short time.

Riaise

Before the bell rang did she think her husband was dead?
Was this during a war?

Kumpel

Does this case take place in or after some war?

Did she think it is a bomb alarm signal first, and noticed then, that the bell means the end of the war and her husband is finally coming home?
