I think you can guess where I'm heading.

I was starting to think that, too, but mostly because Mandle keeps referring to the betrayer as him/her/it, and I wouldn't put it past him to have sneakily given us the answer all along. ;)

Cassiebsg

* Cassiebsg quickly stands as much as possible and shouts

IT!

and then quickly crumbles into place expecting a very slow and painful death! 8-0
There are those who believe that life here began out there...

"Perhaps not quite as slow as you expected, but yes, extremely painful!", The Lurker replies and everyone hears them yank down some kind of large and rusty metal lever with a teeth-grinding SCCCRRRRREEEEEEECCHHHH  from somewhere behind the row in which they sit imprisoned.

The smell of ozone is faint at first but then quickly increases until:

Spoiler

ELECTRICAL ARCS ZAP THROUGH THE AIR AROUND CASSIEBSG'S SEAT

ZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAPPP! ZAP! ZAAAAAAAP! ZAP-ZAP! ZAAAAAAP! ZAPPITY-ZAP-ZAP!
BZZZZZZZ! BZZZZT! CRACKLE! SIZZLE! FFFFFFFFZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz... splutter...
[close]

What is left of Cassiebsg now sits burnt to a crisp with wafts of pork-BBQ-smelling smoke drifting up from it through the flickering light of the projector.

You can hear the sly grin in their voice as The Lurker says "Quite the shame... She was such a bright spark..."

I'll update in about 12 hours or so as long as there's at least 2 sets of questions by then.

Riaise

Oh no, Cassie! 8-0 I feel like that was my fault for mentioning my theory. :(

Can the betrayer be summoned by some kind of ritual?

Mandle

The Lurker darts to and fro behind you all, ducking their head forward between people now and then for long enough to read the frozen stares on their faces, but never for quite long enough for anyone to get a decent look at them.

The Lurker says "Well, as it seems you all might be in shock over recent developments, I'll just give everyone a little more time to collect their thoughts..."

(Update delayed for about 12 more hours)

Tabata

"Oh nooo! Cassieeeee ...!!"

*Tabby whispering towards the neighbors*
I am really confused about what answers are lies.
A parasite that wears clothes?
It's from another dimension but no ghost, daemon, spirit or alien but with a real  body?
That leaves animals and if I don't want to follow in the direction to scifi movies (Tribbles come to mind (laugh) ) but towards horor genre I am getting lost because most of those parasites are from earth or aliens ... *sigh*

Also my level of knowledge about the language doesn't make it easier for me to come up with something helpful, sorry. :-[
Is it correct that we are allowed to repeat a question (in a new round) ... aaand that a question won't get a wrong answer twice?
In that case I'd like to try clearing things a bit by this now:

Does the betrayer wear clothes?
Does the parasite eat a particular body substance?
Is the betrayer from an other dimension?

Mandle

YES?
Does the betrayer have special abilities?
Does the betrayer want/need something from humans (for example their blood or their fear) to stay alive?
Does the betrayer target victims specifically?
Does the betrayer use a secret identity?
Does the betrayer try to get a parasitic connection with its victims?
Can the betrayer be harmed with ordinary weapons (knives, guns, etc.)
Can the betrayer only be killed in a certain way?
Is the parasite able to take over/control the body of his victim?
Is the parasitic connection, the betrayer is trying to establish, eventually leading to the death of the victim?
Did the betrayer ever die for good on screen?
Is the betrayer sometimes inactive for a longer time span (months, years, centuries...)?
Does the betrayer speak a human language?
Does the betrayer target children?
Is the betrayer aware that he/she is a killer?
Has the betrayer visited or been in a fight with other killers in movie history?
Does the betrayer act nice towards their victims before turning nasty?
Does the betrayer wear clothes? x2
Does the parasite eat a particular body substance? x2
Is the betrayer from an other dimension? x2

NO?
Is the betrayer undead?
Has the betrayer ever killed children in his movie lifetime? (meaning on screen)
Does the betrayer wear a costume of sorts?
Has the betrayer ever spent time in an insane asylum or other psychiatric facility?
Have they been permanently scarred in some way?
Do they have a preferred weapon?
Is (or was) the betrayer at some part of the movie a human being?
Is the betrayer a loner?
Does the betrayer kill directly (rather than using traps, etc.)?
Does the betrayer want revenge on someone?
Can the betrayer change its appearance?
Is the betrayer extra-terrestrial?
Is the betrayer some kind of ghost or spirit?
Is the betrayer being controlled by someone (or something) else?
Is the betrayer able to make himself invisible?
Is the betrayer able to fly?
Is the betrayer bigger than a normal human being?
Is the betrayer a disembodied being?
Does the betrayer need the human body for reproduction?
Is the betrayer humanoid?
Does the parasitic collect energy by absorbing certain feelings of his victim?
Is the betrayer only killing if the victim is in a certain state of consciousness?
Does the betrayer live in the sewers?
Does the betrayer take the form of its victims' greatest fears?
Does it take the form of a clown for a large part of its existence?
Can the betrayer be summoned by some kind of ritual?

So, instead of doubling/tripling up on questions that are exactly or basically the same I have added a x2 after questions that have been asked twice and the answer remained the same.

If an answer changes on any questions then that question will appear on both lists.

So far this has not happened.

Tabata

gaah - now  I am soo stuck, still
hmm - which way to go on now  - since an animal won't wear clothes  (wtf)
*grmbl* where is that lie hidden *grmbl*
but wait - nevertheless it might be an alien or daemon (that would fit so nicely to be a parasite) (nod)
... so I need to follow the road a bit more to clear things up:

(maybe we are really looking for a brain eater or a species that needs humans for placing and feeding their offspring)

Is the betrayer extra-terrestrial?
Is the betrayer some kind of ghost or spirit?
Does the betrayer need the human body for reproduction?

Riaise

I'm confused too, Tabata. :-\

Does the betrayer have telekinetic abilities?

Kumpel

Does the betrayer speak a human language?
Does the betrayer target children?
Has the betrayer ever killed children in his movie lifetime? (meaning on screen)

Stupot

Is the betrayer evil?
Or
Is the betrayer just misunderstood?
Is the betrayer summoned via some ritual?

I feel this is basically impossible though. Any answer could be fake so it's basically a guessing game.

The Lurker glares at Snarky and says "Watch yourself there young man! Seeing as this is the first time you've spoken up I'll give you a break. Maybe you missed the rule about only asking questions based on horror movie tropes, even if only loosely."

Stupot

Is the betrayer the result of experimentation?
Is the betrayer able to enter a dwelling without opening a door or window?
Is the betrayer the creation of someone's imagination?
