Good news everybody!

Project Beach House has been greenlit!

(Get it? Eh? EH?)

Thank you everyone for your feedback and participation in the campaign.
We were defiantly worried that the small amount of upvotes we had wouldn't be enough for the greenlight team in the final review, but you guys pulled through!

To celebrate, here's some demos for PBH's original soundtrack.

Beta testers and the public demo

Project Beach house's final features are being polished.

Before we can publish the demo we'll need to do a serious bug hunt, check out the post on the recruitment forums:

Hey everyone, Just a quick update.

PBH is still trucking along. We're just in the stage of dev where nothing super eye catching happens.

Things like press kits, trailers, and promo stuff are taking up most of my time.

Slasher has been working on polishing different mechanics and bug fixes.

The final scene of the game as well as it's credits are currently being created.

We're almost there!

SilverSpook

Congrats on being greenlit and the soundtrack is sick!  Good luck with this. ;)

Glenjamin

Hey everyone.

I thought I'd share a bit of insight into how we made the cutscenes in PBH.

There's no REAL spoilers in the video, but if you want to go into the game completely dark you should avoid it.

Some people might remember the general post about backgrounds I made a while back. That video is in the pipeline. (nod)

HanaIndiana

Great tips on how to do cut-scenes. That helps me a lot actually, thanks!

Any news about making it DRM-free?
GOG is the best option, but Direct Download or Humble Bundle are also good.
Please don't restrict it to steam.

I should've been more clear about this.

PBH is definitely coming to ITCH, so DRM free is a guarantee.

We've looked into GOG, but it turns out we're too cool for them to handle 8-)

We'll check out Humble Bundle too. If anyone else has a preferred platform we'll look into it.

Also I'll be sure upload a direct download link for the demo once it launches.

That's right

Tomorrow's a special day. To celebrate the official launch of the PBH demo & Beta, we're giving away one beta key just for the AGS community.

In order to earn this key, you must play through the demo, and find three easter eggs, Screencap them, and send them to me in a PM.

Here's your hints:

Dan likes seafood
Cheaters never win, but like photography
Machines can't tell who's who

Good luck.

Glenjamin

Special thanks to everyone who've checked out our game and downloaded the demo.

If you haven't yet, check it out:The official PBH itch.io

So what's next for PBH? What can be expected in update #2?

  • Level three: The abandoned facility is still a bit rough in some areas. Polishing that is a top priority as of now.
  • The end credit sequence still has only the original testers. More people have come aboard, so we'll need to update it.
  • PBH's sound effects aren't fully implemented as of update #1 which needs addressing
  • Bug fixes as usual
  • Maybe the inclusion of the next level.

I also have a few personal projects which need tweaking, so there might be some delays.

Until then, Stay cool my dudes :^)

Also, Happy Halloween!
