Mostly want to ask if you like the style/minimalism.
This isn't the final version (furthermore this particular gif was made from layers, so colours/shades are incongruous at some areas ).

I get what you mean, I think its partially due to the perspective obscuring his feet and legs.

It could be that, but it's also the fact that his hands don't move.  They stick out in front of him like a zombie.

I'd suggest adding a slight movement to the arms, more at the side of the body.

I parsed the character as walking, but, yeah, in a zombie-like kinda way because of the arms
