I agree, and they are used in the building's communal corridors, but wall lamps would be a bit too gimmicky in actual rooms of a house and in all of them :D

hmmm, not that much. I know this is the view from in game, but I'd use some other, even steeper angle in the menu screen bg and some other buttons that are more fitting. Maybe animate a screaming woman in one of the windows or at least an occational cat that walks past the window every now and then?
