Mouth for war

Ok so we've been fighting with our landlord for like 2 years now because of a very moronic neighbour of ours. He's in his late 20's, looks twice that age, his behaviour is that of a Child who just reached puberty. His close to non-existent brain can't possibly even work out how to tie his shoes without drooling all over himself. Every single day we must hear his lovely bathroom sounds...disgusting perverted moanings kind of (I HOPE it's toilet sounds and not...you know what :-P )his wonderful screams and yelling and don't forget his fantastic "Music" I can't even call it Music even if I've been a musician for years....it sounds like dogs barking or something...it's just awful. It's enough that someone in his family just tries to say something to him to make him scream in anger and sometimes run to his room and crank up that music. FINALLY I managed to record his damn yelling tonight. He always plays games at night and of course he must scream like an idiot about that too. Oh and don't forget about the "Must stand up from chair at 4 in the morning so I slide it out so the screeching sound Wakes up everybody" Even when he's taking a pi¤¤ at night he must do that as loud as possible as well. Pointing the stream right into the water and pushing as hard as he can.

I've been talking a lot to the person who handles disturbances at the landlord's office and I have sent those recordings now as well. The worst part is that those idiots already have a confirmed complaint by a security company you can call at night when the office is closed, and even that didn't teach that moron anything. The word "hate" is really strong if you think about it. People say "Oh how I hate this and that" but I can honestly say that I hate his F#####G guts with all my heart. I hope those recordings will finally make the landlord react harder this time and toss his unambitious-still living with mom-worthless-old behind out of there. The whole family could go I suppose because they are complete trash and they don't respect anyone else in the building. They think they can do whatever they want anytime, all the time and don't care that people need to get up in the morning for work etc. GRRRR Sooo sick of them!!!!! Anyone else who wants to share a story about their lovely neightbours? (Present or past) :D

Sounds like a nightmare.

I had a neighbour 2/3 years ago when I was living in a shitty apartment block. He lived alone but was constantly talking to himself, quite loudly. At first I thought maybe he was just on Skype or maybe playing an MMO with his headphones on shouting at people in the game. But the more I listened, the more he was definitely talking to himself.

I bumped into him a few times in the stairwell, and the first time, to his credit, he did say something like "I make too much noise, don't I?" and I was all like "nah nah, it's cool" (but in Japanese), which I regretted because it was like I gave him permission to just keep being noisy.

Then one day, I heard another voice coming from his place, a genuine other person conversing with him, not just himself. And then they went outside so I looked through my peephole and saw him, in ropes, being led down the stairs by these guys in black t-shirts. I went out to my car and sat there watching them put him into the back of a van. He wasn't struggling or anything. He looked embarrassed more than anything so I thoguht I'd give him a bit of dignity by driving off instead staring at the poor bloke. When I came back the van was gone and I didn't see the guy again for a few weeks.

The silence at night was blissful, but I felt really sorry for the guy. All the time he was pissing me off at night I sort of expected he probably had mental issues or was on drugs, but when I saw them put him in the van, I felt really bad for him. So much so that when I finally heard him again two or three weeks later, I was actually quite happy to have him back.

Oh wow! Yeah if it's beacuse of mental problems it's sad! Had Another neighbour many years ago and she was crazy. Asked me if I called her a "F#####G WH##E" Through telepathy. "Umm no I don't know how to do that" was my response haha :D She was screaming and was awful to have in the building. She was taken care off eventually.

Okay I'll go!

There's this guy that does something upstairs on the 3rd floor of the building the school I own is in. When I say he "does something": He claims to be running a "juku" or "study school" up there, only I have never seen a single student go in or come out and he has all the windows covered over with cardboard.

So anyway a few years back this guy (looks about 30 something) became obsessed with me, complaining that my voice was too loud when I took the kids outside. Now, I'll admit that I do have a loud voice, especially when I'm angry with a student doing something dangerous outside, but this is in the middle of a city during daylight hours. I'm certainly not breaking any decibel-level laws.

The first few times he came down to complain in a fairly reasonable manner (compared to what came later) but once he starts complaining he can't stop and he really gets into your personal space forcing you to either back up or push him away. I did push him away a few times, never violently. Just slowly but forcefully.

Anyway, as the months go by he starts to escalate his weird behavior until it entered the realm of "crazy stalker". He would follow behind me as I walked down the street repeating the last word I'd said over and over until I told him to "Fuck off" and then he kept following me, like just behind me, repeating that.

The last straw came one night when I was leaving to go home on my bicycle and he was coming the other way and he spat at me. It missed me but then he started following me, trotting along behind my bike. Now I'll add at this point that I'd made a promise with my business partner that I wouldn't get physical with this dude as that's what he probably was aiming for: For me to get physically aggressive and then he could get us kicked out of the building.

I'm also not an aggressive person usually but when somebody actually spits at you it's very hard to keep a level head. So he kept following behind my bike for about 15 minutes as I rode around and around. I wasn't going to just ride off at full speed because that would have felt like he had won. Finally I realized the best course of action and started towards the nearest police office. I planned to tell them some crazy guy was following me around, but he was too cunning for that and faded off somewhere along the way.

The next day we called the police and made a formal complaint and also called our landlord and informed him what had happened. I'm pretty sure the landlord then called the dude and warned him off because there has been little trouble since then. A few times he tried to approach me but his wife grabbed his arm and pulled him back. She seemed to be escorting him everywhere for quite some time after the police report was filed acting as a blocker for his stalking of me.

I still see him from time to time and, as always, pretend I'm just looking at empty air and then look and walk away (with an ear out for any footsteps behind me... I'm not stupid...) and so far there haven't been any other major incidents.

I just hope it stays that way because for the couple of months when he was at his high-point of crazy (there were many more incidents I haven't mentioned here, but I never managed to catch him on video being insane. He seems to have the cunning of a fox in that regard), anyways at his high-point of insanity I felt stress pretty much all the time and had trouble sleeping at night. If I heard anything strange outside my house I would go out and search around to make sure it wasn't him. That was my biggest fear: that he would follow me home or somehow otherwise figure out where I live (I took my address sticker off my bicycle for that very reason).

To sum it up: Being stalked is a really, really horrible feeling.

@Mandle - What a nutter. I'm realy intrigued (but also frightened) to know what this no-student school is all about.

I'm scared he has chopped up people stored in coolers up there like that other psycho they just caught.

Whoa...he sounds really creepy. I always have recording software ready on my phone if I must confront someone just in case I need evidence if someone would become threatening/violent :-D I soooo much want to put an anonymous note on their door "Just wanted to let you know that I finally got your idiotic screams recorded. Have fun denying that when the landlord gets in touch with you. Enjoy the homeless lifestyle you sack of s##t"

When I lived in apartments I thought I had some strange neighbors but reading these stories made them sound sane. Never had anything quite to that extent but I did have to tell the landlord about one of the neighbors that had been really loud but they quieted down after that.
I do have a similar funny story about my brother and some neighbors they had:
My brother lived with a guy he worked with. One day I was over there about 10pm at night and we were playing a game but his roommate had been out. The people downstairs were having a wild party and it was getting so loud you could feel the floor vibrating. Take it this was not too late, but getting late for some people. Well suddenly the noise just kind of stopped and then my brothers roommate walked in the door. My brother asked him what he said to them to get them to quiet down. He said "They invited me to the party and so I just told them I was going to have to go to bed and mentioned that I owned the building." My brother said they never again had any wild parties.
Pro is the opposite of Con                       Kids of today are so much different
This fact can clearly be seen,                  Don't you know?
If progress means to move forward         Just ask them where they are from
Then what does congress mean?             And they tell you where you can go.  --Nipsey Russell
