Trouble logging in
« on: 01 Jun 2003, 15:27 »
I'm sorry for posting here like this but I have a serious problem.

I cannot log into my file.

I log in and it works, but when a new page loads it logs out again.
Also I noticed when I'm logged out, I noticed that the user name I'm supposed to be logged in with is apparently Browsing the forums.

Help Please!

are you sure you've selected 'always stay logged in'?

- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

Have you enabled the cookies in your browser?

I was having the same problem, I "logged in" but everytime I "browsed pages" in the forum I was as 'guest' again...

SOLUTION:
Delete your cookies (sth like: Tools->Internet Options->Clear Cookies for IE)
Trust me, it works. (Thanks to CJ who helped me with that.) ;)
Don't blame me - I didn't know it!   (I have the feeling this will come handy...)

Something else that you might think of: Have you installed any extra toolbars for your browser, or have websites installed them on their own? That happened to me; when I visited a cracks site, it took it upon itself to install a toolbar on my IE. I had to uninstall the damn thing, then my log-ins finally worked. :)
