Lets all be calm. OH WHAT THE HELL I WAS PROFILING KIKME! Yar ARGH! Sorry... It's just that... He came back in the middle of it all ranting that he was sent treatening e-mail and all the people sent that e-mail so far are significant people who made a few games or have been here for awhile.  Rodekill, Squinky, Flippy_D,Evenwolf, Juncmodule and Andail...  Somehow Kikme doesn't fit into that group. Why would someone dig up his e-mail from ages ago and harass him just for fun? He has a bad reputation and everyone harassed has a good one. Sorry Kikme. Sorry for calling you stupid. This whole thing has the feel of something you would do, it's not that I think it was you did it, but you are the prime suspect. I have a few other suspects too but they shall remain unnamed for now.

I just have a little question. Those of you who got the spam, did you ever post on rode's forum? It seems like the only ones getting the mails posted at his forum (although I don't know if junc ever posted there), which would make sense out of the whole "turf" intruding deal in an idiot hacker kind of way.

So, have any of you guys getting the mail not posted on rode's forum?

Honestly though, I don't think that's it. Each of the emails was customized in some way. I do believe that the "email person"/"rodekill.com hacker" may be the same person. They called me "junk" and asked Rode to design web pages and called him "Scumm"...even with a capital "S". Then again it could be very likely that it is just a regular member playing a joke (the emails part, not Rode's site).

Either way I would really like to know who reported my post to a moderator. I'm guessing that is the piece of trash that sent the emails. (<-- Evenwolf, notice how I pay attention to him! )

Esseb, good theory.

Probably as an after-reaction.  

However, it's best that people remain a little alert, even though I doubt hackers would hack the forum straight after warning us.

It's like the Bond villian telling 007 his plans for world domination right before he leaves him to die in a swimming pool filled with pirahnas.

Nevertheless, be a little alert just in case the forum ever does get hacked.

c) They are real hackers who found this forum after hacking Rodekill's forum.

d) The e-mails are part of a spamming campaign for some kind of protection software and are therefore  just a coincidence. (Right now, I think this is a very  unlikely theory -- but I don't rule it out)

I don't think these e-mails are aprt of some scheme to get us to but protection software...It's just some dumbass randomly picking e-mails and harrassing them. I believe this since one of my e-mails came from a prank e-mail site....

Like I said, it's a very slight possibility.

But I don't rule it out.

But also consider that it seems to be more than one 'dumbass' -- or someone registering multiple e-mail addresses.

Which is what makes me thinks it's just a prank too.

Then again, who knows?

Ok people, when I suggested kikme I was doing it semi tounge-in-cheek, since although it COULD be him, it's just as likely to be one of a hundred other people. So, sorry I didn't make myself clear at first.

I still think it's just some member being funny, though they may be pushing the joke a bit now.

so, we have 3 possible situations so far...

1) The person has found the forum, and thought it would be fun to send strange 1337 e-mails to REGULAR MEMBERS.

2) Kikme has gotten bored, logged onto the forum, and sent 1337 e-mails. what makes this situation more likely than the last, is that its only REGULAR MEMBERS who have been getting the e-mails. Kikme obviously isn't a regular member, so how would the person have got his e-mail?

3) The person has gone onto the old forums, and found e-mails from there.
