if you do that he could say no and be telling the truth, saying no and be lying, say yes because it's him or say yes because he thinks it would be cool to take the credit for it....
try find out who it is and what isp they use, then report them and say they're abusing their connection...
all hackers should be sliced up with a big knife then fed to constipated imps...

B. That was probably script kiddies, if you have a windows host or you have the same unix host as they do.
C. If you have a windows host SWITCH NOW. It's likely to happen again if you have a windows host.
D.If you have a unix host they probably have the same host as you.
