Larry 8 without Al!!!

Apparently there has been recent speculation that Sierra is making a new Larry game but without Al Lowe. If you could please come sign this petition to Sierra it would be very helpful. The petition makes it clear that we want a new larry game but with Al involved. Thanks.

Sierra released a 3D animated Larry 8 pre-production trailer thingie a few years back I believe. Google would know where it is. It didn't look too bad. No women in it though, just Larry. Looked quite good.

The 3d demo you are talking about was actually made when Al was still doing Larry. It was cancelled though when Sierra was sold and everyone was fired. Actually, Al has said many times that he would jump at the chance to make another Larry game if he was offered.

All Lowe also said there'd never be a Larry 4... so they scripted the plot, trashed it and rehashed Larry 1 then they went straight to Larry 5

ive just downloaded lsl5, i`d forgotten how crap it is. nice animations and everything but the mofo walking deads! my god!
i used to love lsl2 when i was about 13, but i think that was because it was the closest i got to actually chatting up girls at that time

I would love to see a new Larry game. Larry 7 was grat. One of the funniest games I've ever played. But without Al Lowe it would be crap. It's his creation. Why don't they want him in the project?

Actually the reason kq8 turned out to be crap is because Roberta was not given complete control over the game. Ken William's explains a lot about it on his site www.sierragamers.com. If Al was given control over Larry than it would most likely not be like Kq8.

I think KQ 8 also suffered in the smae way as 7. It was just too old.
6 was saved by the lack of influence Williams had, who, despite being a pioneer, isn't a particularily good designer and is a dreadful storyteller.

granted one must appreciate the history of the game and the pioneeringnessocity of it all but when over 90% of the game is a direct retelling of fairytales, story books, and mythology... it was kinda hard for me to even find where the 5000 years of history ended and the Williams' began

As much as I love the LSL series, especially 1-3 cause that's where Al Lowe intended it to be finished and completely wrapped up the series

That is another reason they skipped 4, as well as the trying to get the multi-player thing happening, begining again from 5 left it open to start another trilogy. I think all the info is on the website mentioned (allowe.com)

I don't like the idea of an 8 without Al, and I wouldn't want to force him to get involved either, it would be completely up to him if he wanted to and I still think would be a bad idea.

And for Sierra to make an 8 without him is quite rude, It's just a company that bought an already famous name, to make it easier for them to sell retarded products, Now they want to use an already legendary product that has enough sequels, And make some more dirty money (they could just sell crack, I'm sure there's even more dirty money there)

Somehow I think this is a really lazy company, what have they done since they stole the company, Half-Life, that's all I've heard about.

Hooray for fuckin capitalism, fucks everyone over, even the people that have the money, what can they do with all the spare cash, invest it, to get more, what's the point, you still die, then what's it good for, Ooh that's right, fucking up the next generation etc.

I am very interested in seeing Larry trying to get laid in college. The amount of potential there is insane. Jocks and frat boys and the obligatory prude dean of the school + a young Larry = Whee!

However, my faith in Sierra is less than zero, so I'll just make up the game in my head.
