What do you want to do that hasn't been done before?

I picked up one at a computer store before...not realizing that it was something I didn't want.
- Oh great, I'm stuck in colonial times, tentacles are taking over the world, and now the toilets backing up.
- No, I mean it's really STUCK. Like adventure-game stuck.

Um, you can make one in DarkBasic.  That's not too difficult to do, I built one & it was super lame. :)

you'd be better off learning to code and making a Half-Life mod or something, or trying something with either the Quake, Quake2 or even Duke3D source...

I could send you the mini-raycaster I did in C in my spare time in January :P, but only has blue walls, and brown floor.

PS: and has no wall clipping, and it's Wolf3D style :P

Yikes, I'm telling you, just get DarkBasic...you're nuts to do anything else.  Can you say EASY? It's EASY. ^^

Ciro: All blue walls? That frightens me :)

I'm using 3D Gamestudio, and it's probably not as easy as darkbasic, and also lots more expensive, but to my knowing, its the most powerfull 3d engine there is out there! here is a link :

OMG! You know what I was going to ask about it but didn't?  If the walls were ALL blue, the SAME blue, and if so how you determined where a corner was at... but you have a darker blue as well :) And the ceiling is even darker blue. Hehe, that's sweet Ciro, really, I wouldn't be able to do that :)
